There are three of us staying at the Rome Cavalieri. It is a Hilton property hence the ability to get a triple. It is just north of the Vatican. I think it was about $200 per night.

On some of the shorter (mini) cruises the bathrobes may not appear, just ask your steward for one and it will appear.

Is the bathrobe for the black and white ball or the Elizabethan ball? LOL

Would anyone wear an authentic Elizabethan gown with ruff or men's britches and hose?

My parents were in 1905, the isolated inside cabin and we were across from them in a verandah. You are correct in assuming that the voids on the deck plan are crew space. They encountered no noise from it at all. It is a long way from the elevators though.
