If you are traveling as a couple maybe try the Havana area on the Vista, Horizon, or Mardi Gras.  They have balconies, insides and oceanview cabins and you get access to a Havana area with a pool (a lot more quiet than at the main pool).  To stay in this area the kids have to be 13 or older, so no small children.

To me the difference between NCL and Carnival is NCL is really laid back, movies are inside and mostly during the day and alot of things take place in the atrium.  To me Carnival is more fun, they have movies every night under the stars.  They provide blankets and popcorn and the fun is all over the ship.  Again, this is my personal observation, others may vary.

I hope this helped and happy cruising.

Yes! I love the movies under the stars I wish they put them on the smaller ships.

I wish carnival did have different ship designs amd features the central park does look nice.

  2. if your two year old a water baby they will love the water and the splash area and arcade lol

mines was 9 months cruising and got ma everytime i took her out the splash area so I can eat and take my nap lol .

The onboard daycare is nice and now my daughter is 6 loves it even more because when the kiddos see one another passing on the ship they wave and talk and im like "you know that kid" lol. even on the islands they wave and talk and im just smiling.

but if your child isnt really a water baby not sure if a cruise a good fit

NO! Way to many that offer far better choices and perks. My cards from Bank of America gives me Travel insurance which I already used. You get 2% for travel and I keep enough in the bank to get an extra .75% in addition. So total rewards are 3.5%. Example. if the cruise was $3000.00 I get in rewards $105.00 Yes that card is $99 a year but well worth it for the travel insurance. They have another card which has no yearly fee. You get the same rewards but no travel insurance. On that card you can pick what purchases you want the higher perk for. I choose the gas. I get 5.25% back for my gas purchase.

Citi bank. 1% when you buy 1% when you pay.

yes, okay i will stick to my citi bank and discover i was hoping they aleast give some special emails every so often like discount on bubbles or cheers lol or free night at a select dinner lol

We do enjoy the coffee or the cocktail on our balcony. I am the frugal one that would sail an inside in a minute but DW insists on at least a balcony.

Hahahaha happy wife happy life lol

  5. Florida is a tourism state which I think many have forgot thag we get out money amd jobs from travelers.

When we didnt decide to quarantine everyone from new York and michighan and other states who had to quarantine got on a plane to not quarantine and booked rooms in florida to vacations. We got money.

It is a tourism state and I understand why he did what he did because it would bring more business and more people in Florida would get off of unemployment and government funding and back to work.

He is a business man that is how I see it and for people who dont want to cruise because of vaccines fine.

I like how they mention the olant based burgers because on Carnival there is no menu they hide it as if vegans would not be sailing too.

I'm not vegan but I do like plant based burgers every so often lol

Forgive me for bringing a little politics into the CDC reluctance to move forward in any meaningful way to get cruising started in the US but perhaps one should consider different motives of the CDC. It certainly doesn't appear the CDC is making any move to get cruising started so maybe this is the reason:

    1. The CDC wants to bring the cruise lines to their knees (near or to bankruptcy). WHY?

    2. So as a condition for sailing, the lines will have to re-flag some of their ships in the US. WHY?

    3. So they will be under complete control of US employment regulations and

    4. Therefore be able to unionize.

So think about it .... otherwise how the CDC is acting makes no sense.

Oh wow I thought employing people from all over the world was a good idea . love seeing the countries everyone is from and them educating me a little before the rush to work and not chit chat lol.

    Makes sense.

  8. Yes they will like it. Cookies and snacks they will like and the ice crwam shorter lines and breakfast shorter lines.

I think it was the spring of 2018 when they upgraded the Vista internet. I had it in Feb ‘19. Also had premium on Panorama in March. Same deal. I could stream live video all the time anywhere on the ship. I could also upload videos with no problem.

Thank you for the update. I never brought internet I was scared it would not work. If you can go live that must be good service.
