  1. Wow, I don't like the schedule because j have a schedule when not vacationing lol wake up, ready for elementary, ready for work , dinner repeat (sometimes).

    Thanks for mentioning that .

Yup. All shows needed to be reserved prior to boarding. Your reservation is loaded to your sail card, and they scan the cards as you enter the venue. If no reservation, you can not enter until about 5 minutes before the show, if any seats available. And then your party may not all get to sit together. Someone on here mentioned it’s no big deal, but it is. How do you know what you want to do that night, when you want to eat, etc before you even board. No thank you! We RAN back to Carnival!

  2. Best advice , go walk up to the bar you'll get the drink faster because the servers are trying to talk to other cruisers and make their money hahaha

Maybe its just me, but being on a large cruise ship and not expecting lines for food and drinks is like going to Disney World and expecting to be the first one on the ride... not gonna happen.

And if you want your drink faster, walk up to the bar, instead of laying by the pool.

  3. Oh okay 😂 I thought it was a website like the one tracking the ship location I just like those sites while counting the days down until embarkation day like this site is good to pass time

LOL- I just go on Carnival's website and look- 😄 In this case it said sold out when I was checking like two weeks in advance of the cruise because I had heard all these people were canceling and maybe prices were crashing and you could get a OBC. Before that I looked at the number of cabins still available.

As someone who tried to branch out and try different lines, I can tell you I’m very happy to return to Carnival. I cruised two RCCL ships, the Indy and the Oasis. Let just say they lived up to their motto of WOW. They were gorgeous. But anytime you need to reserve your shows before your cruise even sets sail, was not appealing to me. And then to sit through CATS was pure torture. And they were the biggest culprits of nickel and dimeing you onboard. No thanks. We left RCCL, and decided to try NCL. We found Freestyle Cruising absolutely fabulous! We loved the more casual atmosphere and the ability to eat wherever and whenever we wanted. And their Broadway show, Million Dollar Quartet, was awesome! But there was something lacking that we missed, and that was the “fun factor”. We returned to Carnival last year, and were so glad we did. The food was better, and there was always some activity and music everywhere! Their shows are just the right length—30 minutes (endured CATS on RCCL for THREE HOURS!!), but I admit, some were just terrible. The shows and performers on my Breeze cruise last year were awful, but the shows and performers on my February Glory cruise were excellent, and we really enjoyed them. I will be cruising the Magic in April for a B2B, and if I find the shows or performers to not be so good, I just won’t go to another show on another night. There is plenty of other entertainment to keep us busy. And we love how the price point of everything Carnival fits our retirement budget. RCCL has gotten way too pricey, and NCL’s price point is creeping up to cover their Free At Sea promotions. So, for now, I am more than happy with Carnival, but everyone has their own expectations and needs in a cruise, and they need to go wherever t makes them happy. It’s worth it to try. Who knows, you may coming running back, as I did.

So you have to set up reservations for everything?!

    Oh that's too much.

I only been with carnival but wanted to Branch out because the other ships had Haiti and other places carnival doesn't visit.

I like carnival because my mood changes one minute I will walk and listen to the singing but if they aren't singing good that night I'll walk out and listen to who ever singing near the Havana area.

  5. How do you check to see if a ship is booked and how many passengers onboard?

But yeah the news I don't watch they want you overly stressed and scared .

I just came off the Vista and it was SOLD OUT- literally every single berth and I checked a few times and never saw great numbers of rooms suddenly available as this issue has grown. There were 4900 passengers on board, it was probably the best cruise I've ever been on and none of us are dead yet-lol. Everything is getting blown out of proportion to get people to watch the news. WASH your hands BEFORE you eat with your hands. Just like with any virus and you'll be fine.

  6. I live in Florida too and getting the emails saying cruises starting at $45 per person or $60 per person.

I don't think the virus would hurt carnival. I'm one of the people if I could take a vacation during Florida busy season is take it fast hahaha but I work at a hotel so I don't cruise during this time until June -December.

Have fun cruisers on these discounts .

  7. That is so true cry because they want ice cream and water slide and cry when they are picked up.

My little one is 5 and loves it. She makes friends and when they see one another in port they wave lol.

And then when you pick them up, they get cry because they want to stay with their friends.

  8. I drink the free coffee to save my money for other things to buy since I like to buy the $10 little gifts onboard and going into their gift shops buying little shot glasses for memories haha.

The free coffee is good it isn't burnt it's fresh.

The paid coffee is good too but I just don't like the price when I'm use to my cheap 7-11 or WaWa coffee .

I just want to defend the free Lido coffee. I like it. It's a basic cup of coffee. I doubt the coffee shop coffee is much better. It all comes down to perception.

  9. Yep I board with my luggage and disembark with it as well.

Aruba and Curacao .. I should not have any issues with Taxi's ? I would love the beach and shopping lol. I guess what I was asking is more about the sketchy safety level as well. When we went to Montego Bay, it was a little sketchy and we were in a resort transfer.

That is a great idea about a day pass. I saw the one that Carnival has, but I also heard that is where everyone goes. I will see what resorts are close.

  11. Aruba and Curaçao are happy islands!!!!

La Romana the beach Bayahibe isnsafe thing is with Dominican Republic if you speak Spanish you're safe .

Even Aruba and Curaçao if you know Dutch and pamiento and Portuguese and Spanish and African languages you're okay. But Aruba and Curaçao are literally happy places.

  12. In Curaçao night time just chill by the ship many music and mini bars can easily head back to the ship drunk lol

Aruba we went to the beach I forgot the name lol.

La Romana we were at Bayahibe it was nice and decent . The bar was okay but not the best.
