You will be fine unless something drastic happens. Lots of cabs at the port to take you to the airport. If you can, do self assist debarkation.

Crewsweeper - Bwahahahaha! That's so funny!
Yes, I guess we have no choice but to wait and see. You guys don't think they would just keep the Inspiration and Imagination only and do the Mexican Riviera and Hawaii cruise with those do you? Could those ships even do the long Hawaii itinerary?
If those are the only ships Carnival leaves on the west coast we will move to HAL or Princess for our 7-10 west coast cruises. Our last few short cruises have been on Princess. We just do not like the Inspiration or Imagination.

This will probably get moved, but every time I ask questions over in the port specific forums they don't get much response. I don't think there's much traffic over there. So I'm hoping to get answers here before it gets moved.
Usually in Cozumel we just do our own thing, shopping, lunch, downtown, etc. we've been there 3 times now and for our next cruise I am looking for something different. Maybe an all inclusive? I saw Nachi cocum (spelling) and I went to book on their site but it says that day is already book. Any other suggestions for something similar or anything else that is just really fun? We are not people who want to lay at the beach all day, but give us a pool and a swim up bar and an all inclusive day, count me in!!
By the way, this is for my cruise in January 2017... Do you think Nachi is already booked or just not taking reservations yet?
Could be booked as they only take 100 people per day, but over a year out I would bet they have not opened their bookings yet.
We have been there several times and love it. We have also done the Bar Hop tour and had a ball.

Sailed on our anniversary the last 3 years (and will again this year), always got the sign and balloons on our door and a card in our room but have never received a cake. Just the singing.

We have used Budget rental car several times. We always do self debarkation and are on the first shuttle. The latest we got our car was around 9:30. The lines at the Budget office can get long.
Being you will be there the 4th of July weekend, I would stay away from the theme parks and the beach. Maybe book an Airboat tour or something ahead of time. Google "things to do" around Cocoa Beach, Orlando area.

Carnival Corporations President just announces in this interview that Miracle will be going to China in 2017. About 1:10-1:25 is where you will want to pay attention.
Well. no more wondering about the Miracle other then the date in 2017.

Co worker just got off the Miracle this past weekend. He was told by the future cruise guy that the Miracle was going to Tampa sometime in the spring of 2017 for 3-4 months and then going to China, Splendor would move to Long Beach. Time line will be made when the Canal has a better finish date.
Was not sure he was told good info about the Miracle going to China until I saw this article tonight.

Love 4J's. Have had them on several ships including 9201 on the Splendor. One of the best cabins for the price.

Silly beards.
Definition of restaurant:
a place where people pay to sit and eat meals that are cooked and served on the premises.
Definition of dining room:
a room where meals are eaten
Maybe this is what the "Beards" have in mind.

This is a partial cut and paste from the US Dept of State website, copied minutes ago...
CRIME: The criminal threat level for New Providence Island is rated as critical by the Department of State. New Providence Island has experienced a spike in crime that has adversely affected the traveling public, with a spate of more violent criminal activity between 2009 and 2013. The U.S. Embassy has received multiple reports indicating tourists have been robbed at gunpoint or knifepoint in tourist locations in the downtown areas of Nassau, to include the cruise ship docks and the Cable Beach commerce areas; several of these incidents occurred during daylight hours. Burglaries, larcenies and “snatch-and-grab” crimes happen in Nassau and U.S. citizens have been victims of these crimes as well. The U.S. Embassy has received reports of assaults, including sexual assaults, in diverse areas such as in casinos, outside hotels, or on cruise ships. The Bahamas has the highest incidence of rape in the Caribbean according to a 2007 United Nations report on crime, violence, and development trends. The majority of sexual assaults reported occurred after excessive consumption of alcohol. The loss of ability to remember facts and details due to alcohol consumption makes prosecution of sexual assaults more difficult. Much of the violent crime occurs outside tourist spots, such as in the “over-the-hill” section of Nassau (the area inland from Bay Street, to the South of Bay Street, behind the tourist district), but can occur anywhere, including in areas frequented by tourists. Home break-ins, theft, and
Is there a crime warning not to go to Chicago? 50 people were shot this past weekend, 4 dead.

Parking at the cruise terminal is $18 per day, effective 9/1/15Ouch!
Long Beach CA is now $19. Just keeps going up.

I think it's up to the CD, or now I guess it's the new entertainment director on what is shown on the big screen.
I think it varies and that's why you see some say yes and some say no.

We have cruised on 5 SB cruises (and we don't even watch or follow football). It will be on the big screen, sports bar and in the main show lounge. They have always had special finger foods and beer bucket deals.

Papas and Beer is downtown, the blow hole is a few miles out of town.
Take the shuttle into town, cost about $5 round trip. You can get a tour to the blow hole (around $15) from the shuttle company and when you return you can be dropped off downtown. Papas and Beer is only a block or two from the shuttle stop downtown.

Hi there: I just got off the Splendor a couple of weeks ago, loved the ship. I sailed on her last year also besides the Glory. I just booked a cruise on the Sunshine however, As a rule I always book a balcony room, being as I want to book another cruise for about eight days I wanted to penny pinch on this one which is only four days. I booked cabin 2102 which has portholes , do you think I will regret not having a balcony? What do you think of rooms with portholes if you have used them. I travel solo so it was a big savings for me....
I would appreciate any feedback be it good or bad.
Thanks !!
Do you use your balcony? If you spend a lot of time out there then you will miss it. For us, the only time we book a balcony is price and/or cruising with friends and get a cabin near them. We do not spend more then a few hours out there on a 7 day cruise, so when we are in an inside or 4J, we are fine.

We have cruised both RCL and Carnival (along with NCL and Princess). Which ship you pick has a lot to do with the price. Carnival does not have a ship to compare with the big RCL ships but they do have some nice ships that we really enjoy cruising on. Our experience has been that all the mass market cruise lines are more alike then not. Service, food, entertainment etc can vary from one ship to another in the same line. Some people are happy cruising one line and do not find a need to change. Nothing wrong with that, just like a brand of car, if you are happy with the product and enjoy your cruise, stay with the line you like.

Both the cruises we want to book are still showing full deposit.

I haven't cruised on Carnival in more than 20 years , but I am platinum in the VIFP Club. What is the name of the position that heads the VIFP Club onboard and where is their office located? Thank you in advance for the answer. Happy to enjoy a Fun Ship Cruise, again.
There is no one on board the ships that have anything to do with the VIFP. There is just a few perks you get with Platinum status.

I just want to hear anything about our Long Beach port!
Hope we do not get hacked and loose the 7 day cruises again. Just wish they would put a nicer ship for the 3-4 day cruises also.
-
I think they will announce what ship is going to Mobile. Probably not much else.
-
Sailed her twice, would sail her again if we get the itinerary and price we like.

We were picked a few years ago on the Spirit. We were the longest married couple, 45 years at the time. We had seen the show on several ships and most of the questions were the same. They placed each couple back to back and had us write the answers. The wife and I matched every question. We won a SOS and a bottle of bubbly.

We did the Southern cruise from San Juan and we did bring a few pieces on in Dominica. Had it in our backpack and they never said a word.
