Not sure why people cast doubt over peoples claims of appalling behaviour. I've witnessed it 3 times, got involved once to help the victim and apologise I didn't film it for you.

Knowing someone who is Cruise Security Manager and not just one, they let me know exactly what goes on. Obviously P&O try and keep it quiet as doesn't give a great impression. Always dealt with swiftly, confine to cabin and handed over to police at next port and banned from cruise company for life.

I have no doubt you have seen multiple occasions of appalling behaviour on your p&o cruises, reminds me of the legendary clown incident we’re there was also multiple claims of bad behaviour, on our recent cruise someone posted on another site of there being bad behaviour but no one saw it or mentioned  it.

Maybe because they’d prefer not to get punched?

In this day and age most people carry a phone, so I doubt if the trouble maker would run around the venue punching everyone with a phone.

  3. Hi it is not an app just a glorified web page, we are one of the few that it worked on android and apple phones really well, on our last trip on Arvia we booked everything thing we wanted to do again we might have been lucky.

  4. Just out of interest how come nobody ever films any of this bad behaviour, occasionally you do see some videos of the more extreme ones from various cruise lines but all those bloggers onboard never seam to film them.

Nice to hear from you Bazrat.

I can’t see I’ve seen problems that often, a handful of times over hundreds of cruises and you could see issues in a hotel bar just as easily.

    Thanks

Welcome home!  Glad to hear from you again.

Thankyou we did our TA but wish we didn’t, the cruise was full of people doing vlogs so constantly seeing people walking around with cameras, we never felt like we had any privacy but that might have just been us.

  7. We have been on Britannia a few times twice doing a TA, we enjoyed the experience on all occasions, the food as always been good in our opinion plus the entertainment as been a bit mixed depending on the team who was on that particular cruise, the cabins and general appearance of the ship was good last time we was on.

  8. I am sorry to say due to the loss of my son this morning I will be leaving the group, I have had some good and less good experiences over the years on here, so I wish you all the best for the future.

Just under 3,900 passengers on board, of which nearly 2,500 are new cruisers, with 1300 crew.

The Captains welcome party has returned to the atrium and was well attended by passengers dressed to impress.

    Andy

I hope your going around Andy and telling all the new cruisers how’s cruising has gone down hill since you was on Lusitania’s maiden cruise.

Seeing you post this made me count my cruises and it’s a similar number.  I assure you I have seen this happen often - plate piling that is - but even more, I have seen groups depart from tables laden with barely-touched food and desserts - and it’s normally right in my sight line 😳.

I should probably add that most of my cruises have been with American-based cruise lines; the majority sailing out of Florida or Europe with international passengers. I can’t say I have witnessed this on P&O (I don’t actually go looking 😉), but they make it possible for you to avoid the buffet if you choose, by opening a MDR at lunchtime, unlike the American lines.

We do use the buffet on P&O on the odd occasion (back late from an excursion, afternoon tea etc) and have been surprised that staff with hand sanitisers are not positioned at the entrance to the buffet, as on other lines.

I never overfill my plate, I just take a very very large dinner plate with me.

We use hand sanitiser quite a lot in restaurants.  Does it work ?. We'll it hasn't killed us yet. Apparently it stops vampires biting you. That seems to work.

That's a popular myth like garlic, vampire's dislike cruising, because the blood onboard is to thin from the amount of alcohol consumption onboard.

Sorry, only just seen this.  It was my P&O one.  I refused the first offers as I felt they did not value the fact they ignored my mental health issues.  Eventually without much prompting I received the final offer before it went higher up the chain.  The health issues were the thing they were worried about having not acted on.  Very much appreciated how reasonable and apologetic they were.  Despite all my "discussions" about insurance etc I'd never actually made a formal complaint to a cruise line so was very surprised how nice they tried to be.

The Princess cruise, one year on, is actually my aunt's complaint as my bit was sorted last year. That has been with the insurance Ombudsman for five months and she told me last week a decision has been reached and the Ombudsman and insurer are discussing it.  To give Princess their due a full apology was received by both of us with an explanation as to what went wrong.  I did not ask for anything other than that so was very happy.

To honest I have issues with Princess after they refused to let me swap our deposit to another cruise.

We have just returned from a cruise on Arcadia and can confirm that hand sanitiser was available at all the entrances to the buffet along with a sink for washing your hands, although it never ceases to amaze me how many people just walk past both.

To posh to wash you get them on all cruise lines, but saying that I have not been on them all just 3

Or point to your ear and say, very loudly...WHAT...DW can then say .what did you say ?...Turn it up...WHAT.🤣

Just do what I do pick my plate up and start licking it, for some unknown reason people stop talking to me.

I wouldn't have a problem with a deck 8 conservatory suite. No problem at all. My fear would be a deck 5 balcony.

A balcony wish I could afford a balcony, us in steerage are lucky we get to share a porthole between a hundred of us.

Hi Everyone, we booked the Caribbean on Arvia this year flying from Cardiff but P&O have cancelled the cruise and are now selling it as a transatlantic cruise - can anyone advise on weather etc please.  We’ve done many cruises but not a transatlantic one.

We have done it twice both times on Britannia since the pandemic and next on Arvia in October, we found the weather can be mixed first time we sat out on the second day, the next time we was in a middle of a storm which made it very interesting, we found the sea days very enjoyable not needing to be entertained we just sat outside and enjoyed the scenic views.

If you book before boarding there is a promo appeared today giving 15% off of internet packages, just go into your cruise personaliser.

I'm on an Aurora 30 night in September so have gone in and cancelled my original booking and rebooked with the 15% off.

I assume it's across all ships and departures but I guess you only find out if you go into personaliser.

Just a thought---I wonder if they might do this for drink packages?.

Does that mean they garantee it to work 85% of the time

After 170 nights cruising on P&O it seems a bit mean to only have complimentary slippers in the cabin.

170 nights was that continuous after COVID lockdown, if most before than not really relevant in today's cruising

Surely all water tastes the same after it has been boiled, unless contaminated, which I would hope does not apply to cruise ships.

You obviously never tasted the water in Birmingham, nothing at all like the clean fresh tasting water in the Black Country
