I had no problem removing the wifi for one device i had ordered online.   I just called MSC and had the rep remove it. The rep said it would  be refunded on my credit card in a couple days. But is still shows as an overpayment on my paid cruise. But I’m going to add back if I don’t get my yacht club bid.  I must say it did take a while for the rep to do that though. Put me on hold a couple times.

I think it depends on who takes call.  Today I asked for web support and he did in one minte and I added Easy while on phone.

    Thanks everyone...

  2. I called customer service. They confirmed Childs and adult non alcoholic do have ice cream and Easy does not have ice cream.

Alcoholic "Mock-Tails" (How's that for a play on words) are included in easy.

I wanted agent to remove non alcoholic and she could not and said I had to do it on web. I do not see how to remove a purchased item on web. Is there a way to remove a purchased item?

  3. Hi I am bumping my own thread.

What I was asking is if I do easy  vs adult non alcoholic am I losing anything? To me 12 total for four days is unreal tp do Easy vs adult non alcoholic

It seems the mocktails, soda, sparkling / mineral and fruit juices are in both (that's actually what I do not want to lose). I might lose soft serve ice cream but I do no see anything else going away. The thing I might do a couple of times would be a regular Pina Colada vs a virgin one. I do not remember if MSC has milkshakes or smoothies on board.

I do not see myself doing wine, beer or liquor unless they have something very sweet like Mogen David:)

    Thanks

  4. Hi I've seen so many comparisons but I think I can get a real answer here.

    My son (15yo)  and I book a 5 day 4 night cruise.

    Child non alcoholic is $40 (10 /day)

Adult non alcoholic is $100 (25/day)

    Easy is $112 (28/day).

My son seems great considering our Royal coming up would be $9/day just for Sodas, free with Amex...

What I can't figure out what's missing in Easy vs Adult Non Alcoholic.

I don't drink liquor but I'd maybe have a regular Pina Collate once in awhile, for example. For $3 / day if everything else is same it seems like a no brainer. Both of our favorite part is sparkling water for room and mocktails.

It does seem only thing I did not notice was soft serve ice cream, which is no real loss.

You can definitely use the two-device package and have your son use one device. The person whose name the package is associated with will just have to do the initial login on the second device. I had a two-device package on a previous sailing with my husband (for some reason when we booked the drinks and wifi they gave me two devices and him none?). It was no big deal. I just logged in once on his phone and he was able to use his phone for the rest of the cruise. You definitely will not be able to switch between devices if only have the one-device plan.

Thanks, I think 51 bucks for two people on a four night cruise is a good value.

  6. My cruise shows on device unlimited for $31.96 and two devices for $51.12.

I've read I can't just get one and let my son use and exit and go to my phone to check emails, etc. Maybe wi-fi calling.

Assuming he can't just log out and I log in why wouldn't I just buy $51.12 package vs two $ $31.96. We don't need streaming, unless required for wi-fi calling.

  7. It's been a while since on CC.

To answer above post, I had two cards with Promo.

My upcoming cruise was around $1700 all in.

I put 1000 on one Amex for cruise

I put 700 on another Amex for cruise

I pre-paid gratuities on second Amex

I bought Soda and WIFI with second.

2 x 20,000 points posted at same time charge went from pending to posted. All was done except initial 500 on card one. I did both of those at same time.

Initial 500 was deposit. I think it was 200 refundable but I did 500.

Both soda and WIFI were done after deposit and before last payment I made.  Since promo ended 7/31 I paid in full prior to my required date.

Pre-paid was done at same time as 700 to second credit card and charge was around 900 for the combined charges. I paid second 500 at same time for card one and 900 to second card.

I am pretty sure I could cancel, which I will not, the Soda and Wifi on board and give OBC for rest of cruise, since not going back to Amex they would not claw back points.

I also received destination family of free soda for my son and Johnny Rockets for 4, although only two of us.  Cruise Privileges was not available because negotiated rate. Negotiated rate from 700 per person compared to almost 1600, all before taxes for a balcony. Extra 200 OBC for Cruise Privileges was not available but negotiated rate had a 100 OBC.

  8. My opinion is only use an agent you can trust from a recommendation. I had a horrible experience from Ryan , I'm not giving last name, from avoya. I must not be only person that gets quotes and than some random call. Not all agents get trained properly or are just salespeople and full of beans when they make a sale.  I have one I've used for years, and great.  Never again think it's better to "try" someone from random call.

I do think if you have one you can trust and good experience don't think of seeing if better somewhere else.

If you have a good ta I think you can save time and maybe get a group rate, etc

  9. We're doing this cruise in couple of weeks on A-Rosa. This is second A-Rosa and we loved last one. I travel with my son who is 14. He is free in lowest category. We got a free upgrade to next category and no charge for either of us.  We've done half dozen ocean cruises and we both like river better.

We are also doing an AMA in Asia in 2024.

Based on your comment at a minimum it has to be ship dependent. I would say maybe it is based on the age of the ship, but three of my recent cruises were on Wonder, Odyssey and Grandeur, which covers RCIs newest ships and their oldest ship.

I agree. I'm in adventure in this one.  Maybe it's in starlink.

Not a big deal. I just looked at order, I paid 117 for both vroom thing and soda for 5 days which is less than just internet now, in cost no big deal.

Since cruise is November no chance of black Friday sale 🙂

I am on my eighth RCI cruise this year right now. I have not seen any combination WiFi/drink package offered on any of these cruises.

I just took a cruise march 3 in brilliance and I bought it when booked and rebooked with when out on sale.

    Maybe ship dependent

Your first sentence is very unlikely, and the second sentence has the more likely reason.

Your probably correct.  Another thread said they had speed option, now only one.

I think that has something to do with agreement between starlink and royal but you're probably correct and royal just decided to phase out both with new star link

I've only seen it on black friday offered. I dont see it offered on a regular basis.

It's been on every cruise I've been on. My guess after reading another thread starlink contract prevents it

It was nice to get both for a descent discount.

Last cruise black Friday did discount package.  I cancelled and rebought.

I Google royal zoom soda and went to page that said sold out.

Has any newer purchases on adventure of the seas which might have starlink see combo package

We too cruise in Aqua, but mostly because of Blu. Due to pricing, Oceania which we cruised over the holidays) is rapidly becoming a viable alternative. The food is truly awesome every day and there are no up charges for specialty venues.

Free room service with shrimp cocktails, steak etc. Plus unlimited steak and lobster everyday at pool.
