We’re planning on parking at the Port for our Holland America cruise in a few weeks. Our first out of Port Everglades. Our only concern is that we can’t reserve a space ahead of time. The day we leave, there are about six cruise ships in port, and we’re slightly concerned. Can we count on availability at the Port? Or should we have a backup plan?

It’s been a minute for us at this point, but I remember the front part of the balcony feeling mainly uncovered. The part near the ship that is covered would often have a bit of water dripping from the structure above, so we kept our chairs out closer to the railing. Hope that helps! We loved it!

Atlanta has been flooded with cruising commercials lately! I keep seeing the HAL commercial you mentioned, along with Disney, Celebrity, and Princess, but HAL seems to be played the most.

We’re very curious, too, as we had booked a club class mini suite on the Regal to Canada that was located on the forward corner of the ship with a huge balcony. That cabin doesn’t exist on the Emerald, and the comparable cabin is a suite. All the club class mini’s on emerald are regular side balconies. We’ll wait until we receive the assignment, but we’ll definitely give Princess a call after to see what they can do.
