My 9 year old and I did it last March. Think about it as a photo op. You take a little metal skiff for about a 5-10 minute trip to the "pig island." They give you instructions and when one group leaves, they let you go down to the beach. and the pigs are roaming about. They have a couple of the big pigs that you wait your turn and then attempt to hold onto while they swim toward camera. Then they have piglets that you can pick up and hold. The pigs do poop in the water and there are guys with nets that fish it out. If you don't want to swim with the big pigs, you can still stand ankle deep on the shoreline and feed the pigs. They have a few guys taking photos but they also let you take photos yourself. When you get home, you can go online and look at their photos if you want to buy. They were relatively reasonably priced. As I said, it was more of a picture taking opportunity than active excursion but my 9 year old really had fun interacting with the piglets and we got really cute photos. It only took about an hour and a half so plenty of time left on our day. There are some youtube videos of others trips there.

Are there any sushi eaters that have an opinion on Wasabi? We never made it to Food Republic on Encore so we were considering trying Wasabi but since no one ever mentions it, I'm wondering if that's because it's not very good.

Can you tell me if the bus left relatively on time? I'm trying to book something in the park myself but don't know if I'll be sitting on a bus waiting for late people. Also, did the excursion give you enough time at the park? TIA

So, between Haven and Sky class, will I be terribly disappointed with Sky class? Cruising because there is so much for my 10 year old to do on the ship (we'll be doing 2nd Haven soon) but we were considering RCL next year because it looks like more to do (and different) for him but I love the peace and quiet of the Haven. I don't love crowds or standing in line so huge mistake?

Thank you for the info. I'd love to take a later flight and be leisurely about it but I know that would be stupid too.

Does anyone know what time the security lines open at NOLA? In theory, we will be arriving very early into New Orleans and don't want to go anywhere because we'd have our luggage. We are Haven so if we got through security, we'd at least have a place to sit.

I tried searching on the port of call boards but couldn't find the information. For those that have rented a villa, how is the beach in front of the villa? I have read where the beach and general has rocky sand and the water is an ugly color. Of course, in the online picture NCL offers of the villas shows beautiful white sand and turquoise water. What's the truth? And are there any waves or is it a cove with little movement? (Son is looking for some waves) Our alternative is to do the snorkeling excursion while we are here. TIA

Can anyone on the Breakaway or recently on it, what bottled water was available in the Haven Lounge. I'm hoping they still have something besides the carton water. Last year the had Panna but the Deluxe (or whatever the upgraded beverage package is called now) shows the carton water. TIA

Does RCL offer any kind of arcade package? Can anyone tell me about the arcade on Allure? It’s not something my son normally gets to do so I know he would love to play in the arcade but I don’t want to go broke there!

Does anyone know what bottled water they have onboard? Are no, the filtered water is fine but it's the only thing I drink and I prefer bottled. I've read it used to be Evian, but has that been replaced? Looking for better than canned Dasani. Any recent travelers, I'd appreciate the info. Also, if it's part of a beverage plan or available in Suites Lounge without a plan. TIA
