  1. Wouldn't give me a refund, but offered a future flight credit or a credit to purchase something from their store. As I had a "nonrefundable" fare and plan to use them in the future I took the flight credit. Thought they were fair since I booked outside the cruise line and I chose the nonrefundable fare.

It's quite common for a crew member's girlfriend/boyfriend/bride to be, etc to travel on a ship and get special treatment. We have known quite a few crew members and staff who have had "very close guests" travel onboard. This isn't considered "fraternizing with passengers". The relationship existed long before the passenger boarded.

But doesn't the girlfriend or boyfriend have to book a separate cabin?

On most lines it might depend on who's traveling with the crew. Many crew share cabins with another crew member. Officers normally have a single cabin and they can share with a guest.

  3. As another poster said the world cruises are broken into segments and one could select what segments they would like. I'm booked on the first segment (Miami to LA) of the Crystal World cruise scheduled to begin on January 5, 2021. I believe that it will most likely be cancelled, but I only selected the segment that I could take. I really don't know how many selected the entire cruise, but I know that some have. Crystal really doesn't need to depend on people staying on for the entire cruise so long as cabins are filled in each segment.

Edit: I don't believe that Celebrity "needs" to offer a World Cruise, but they should consider it.

Perhaps very true but you would need the specific muster information for your current cabin.  And of course the muster requirement for departure is mandatory for all.

Isn't the location of Muster Station mounted on the door? Perhaps they could also waive it for people on a B2B in the same cabin. A number of lines waive attendance for passengers on a B2B following their first cruise on the B2B.

What are the total number of cabins on the Reflection? How many Balconies and Suites are on the Reflection?

How many Oceanview and Inside Cabins are on the Reflection?

What is the 50% magic number for booking a cruise.

There are 1523 cabins on Reflection. You can get an answer to your specific question if you get a deck plan and count.

This question was moved from the Crystal ocean board so I assume the OP is planning on a Crystal river cruise. The Crystal river fleet doesn't have any water level cabins.

Yes! On Crystal Bach. Cabin is on Deck 3.

  7. I see the point of the post differently. I think that the poster simply was giving examples of some changes at the highest loyalty level and that should serve as an indication that changes may come to other levels as well. They were also correcting erroneous information from another poster. They were directly answering the OP's question about benefits in the future.

I do not recall skeet shooting.  But I have seen golf balls being hit from the back of a ship.  These days the environmental issues probably prohibit these activities!

On my first cruise in the 70's I remember receiving a booklet containing the names of my fellow passengers. I don't remember if we received the menus for free or we purchased them, but I do remember the menus. They are currently available on eBay. The golf balls changed to biodegradable.

There are plenty forums to discuss COVID 19 and all it’s complexities

This forum should be talking mainly about cruising , this forum is titled around cruising being suspended yet most contributions talk 100% about medical matters

Just don't read it or post on it if you find it unnecessary or inappropriate. That's your call. But the number of pages of response seems to me to indicate that lots of individuals find it appropriate.
