Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Is this for international travel? We havent gotten any changes in testing requirement for the Western Caribbean.
  2. Thank you for all the first hand experineces. My kids will take the test (no fake here). I want to know if they are sick....no fun with 2 sick 9 years olds. We will all do a home test prior to leaving for the ship to be sure.
  3. We are sailing with unvacinated 9 year old twins in October. My understanding is that one of the testing options is an at home Covid test and we just need to show the negative test in picture form. My husband and I are both vacinated so we just bring our vax cards. Any comments or experience with how this all goes when checking in would be appreciated.
  4. Does the new testing protocols give an antigen test option for unvaccinated children, instead of the Pcr?
  5. When sailing with unvaccinated children can they testy with the antigen or does it still have to be the Pcr? The third bullet point on the announcement says all testing is the same, but isn’t specific. I need clarification because the protocol was Pcr was the only test they’d accept for kids.
  6. I spoke to a rep from RCCL today and he said the ships are still at reduced capacity. I was surprised as I thought they were back to normal as far as bookings go.
  7. We are sailing with our non-vaccinated 9 year old twins and not sure which test is accepted. I’ve read conflicting information. The Pcr- naat test takes a day or 2 to get results while the Pcr rapid is quick. I asked a rep from RCCL today and he didn’t know.
  8. For those sailing with unvaxed kids. How long did it take to get the PCR test back prior to cruising? Also, where did you get the test?
  9. Thank you for the insight. I am hoping the precruise and debarkation testing ends soon. I sorta have buyers remorse for booking this cruise, until the testing requirments ended, especially for my unvaxed kids.
  10. Has anyone had problems getting the PCR test back in time for your cruise?
  11. I have unvaccinated 9 year old twins that will be cruising with us in July. What happens if child tests positive for covid with the shipboard test? Does the family have to quarantine? We will have our car and are live nearby.
