  1. Last year when cruising started again in the UK they took photos of all documents again as you say even when they where uploaded on the App. I always carry printed copies of all our documents as if the signal is weak or non existent you have all the information to hand and don't have to worry trying to get it up on your phone.
  2. You will also find that the DBP (Alcohol package) is different from Carnival in that you do not have a 15 drinks a day limit, there is no limit on it.
  3. Thank you both for your words of wisdom, we will make a plan and hopefully see it come off. Really looking forward to visiting NY again and taking our daughter and Granddaughter for the first time to both NY and a cruise.
  4. Many thanks GTJ, we have time to plan and get it right. The DW is leaning more towards NY stay and then travelling over on the next day (Sunday) to board the ship as it will give our Daughter and Granddaughter a bit of NY time. On the return hopefully planning to go back to the same hotel (after speaking to them) to leave our luggage until we leave to go to JFK. A bit of sorting to do but it will am sure be part of a great holiday. Do you know of any transportation companies I could look at to start us off. Thanks
  5. There are 4 of us travelling to the US (3 adults and 1 Child aged 6) and will have to get a test the day before (Friday for the Saturday flight) but do not board the cruise until Sunday. Does this mean we have to get another test in the US or will the test from the Friday be ok?
  6. I hope that some of you can help me? there are 4 of us (3 adults and one child) flying in from the UK into JFK mid afternoon on 15th Oct to then go on Oasis of the Seas for 7 nights from Port Liberty NJ on the 16th. Now What is my best option for a hotel/travel? 1. Transport to NY and stay over then transport to the NJ port the next day? 2. Transport straight to NJ and stay local to port and taxi or uber? 3. Upon return get transport into NY and then of from there to JFK (early evening flight)? 4. any other options? I am being told that it will cost a lot more as we will be crossing state lines so am looking at all options. Hope some of you can help out. Thanks in advance Roy
  7. We have our flights booked through Royal (Manchester - Rome return) and have booked our transfers through them as well as it just made better sense to us so they take all the worry of getting to the port and getting to the airport in time when we return from the cruise. I agree it is a bit more expensive but to me peace of mind helps on holiday.
  8. Glad you enjoyed it, we sail on her mid October from NJ for 7 nights taking our eldest daughter and eldest granddaughter (6) who have never been on a cruise before. This is our first time on Oasis and are so looking forward to it and having the girls experience a cruise.
  9. My DW and I are looking at taking our eldest Granddaughter who is 6 on the S of the S out of NJ mid Oct this year, she is not vaccinated, does anyone know if she will just need a PCR? We will be travelling from the UK the day before the cruise staying in NY or NJ and getting on the ship the next day. Will our tests when entering the US be ok to use boarding the ship? Its all quite confusing at the minute. Thanks in advance.
  10. We are sailing at the end of September and fly into Rome on the day of the cruise (booked through RC) how did any Brits reading this test to get into Italy? did RC support or where you on your own getting tested the day before? Sorry to jump in.
  11. Thanks for this, love the live updates as we are sailing on 28th Sept and cannot wait. How does the ship feel being full capacity? Keep up the good work.
