    4. Enclave Lotus Spa — I already booked this, since the couple’s pricing is only $16.50pp, pd.  We may not even get off the ship, so spa and pool time are on the agenda.  Since I have the pricing already, just interested in any comments, photos, etc.  Hard to come by online for this ship.

I'm on the same cruise and have done EXTENSIVE research on the Enclave as I have mostly cruised on Grand Class ships plus the Island Princess and LOVE the Thermal Suite. From all I have found out it has a lot of the same features as the standard Thermal Suites on the other ships but with slight differences and different names and it has an added bonus of a "Thalassotherapy" pool which is warmer than a normal pool but not as hot as a hot tub and is usually salt water (but I'm not totally sure if this is the case on the Majestic). I found some good pics and a few good videos that convinced me I'd enjoy the Enclave just as much as the Thermal Suite I'm used to. Scott Singer Cruises was on the Majestic a few weeks ago and got good video of the Enclave. I'll see if I can find the video on youtube and post a link.  From everything I've read on the "Live from" threads people have not found the space crowded or difficult to access. I for one am not even getting off the ship on this little 3-day and plan to be in the spa or at the pool as much as possible.

too bad but you really don't want to be in Puget Sound in high winds.

My first cruise was on the Sea Princess in 2007 RT from Southampton around the Mediterranean. Crossing from France to Portugal across the Bay of Biscay was wild. I swear we were catching air while we were trying to sleep. I would not wish that experience on anyone. Even on a fancy cruise ship. 🙂

Leaving Seattle has been delayed until tomorrow morning at 6:00AM due to weather. No Skagway. We're just glad to be here!

I just checked the Bridge cam and was so confused about why it was still showing Seattle. Bummer about the weather and I applaud your positive outlook. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this Live From! Enjoy every minute of your trip!

And it is beyond me why anyone would want the drink package rather than the plus fare

The only time it would really make sense is when they drop the base fares super low right before sailing. I'm on the Oct 6th sailing on the Majestic for 3 days as a solo so I paid the double occupancy fare. Now I'm seeing an inside cabin is available for a single pax for $223 "saver" fare but the Princess Plus is $556 making the Plus choice an extra $111 per day 🤯. PBP $70.79 + Gratuities $14.50 + internet $9.99 = $95.28/day so it's cheaper to buy a la carte especially if you're Platinum or Elite and get half price internet (I'm not until after this cruise). It DOES include $100 OBC so maybe still worth it?

I was FINALLY able tonight to book the 2 specialty restaurants I wanted. YEA !   BUT I have 2 complimentary fees for them and Princess charged them to my CC. What do I do?

Now if I could make the spa appointments I would be a happy camper.

    Thanks in advance

    Kathy

Was able to book spa appointments as of this morning for my 10/6 cruise. 17 days out. Still no luck with spa reservations for the 11/22/21 cruise though.

With reduced passenger count for social distancing, it might be easier to book things on board, as there

will be fewer people competing for them.

However, a lot of the early plans of how "things would be" seem to have been dropped.

So, who know at what percentage-of-full capacity ships will be sailing at.

I also got Arrival Group A and I'm sailing in a Club-Class Mini-Suite so I get "priority boarding" whatever that means these days. So I'm pretty hopeful I can snag one when I board. But I'm a planner. I get almost as much joy from planning and prepping for my cruise as I do actually on the cruise. I'm missing out on a big part that I love. I guess I'll survive though. 🙂

Spa appointments are on the Personalizer. Booked ours for March Majestic this week.

They are still not available for my 10/6/21 or 11/22/21 cruises. 😞 I can and have booked spa reservations for my 11/7/2022 cruise which seems crazy. A bit frustrating. Just hope I can get an Enclave pass once on board.

So I just learned that the mini suites on the Dolphin Deck of the Ruby Princess do not have covered balconies 😞😞😞 is this true? I’m very disappointed as we are going to Alaska and I imagine that a covered balcony would be much nicer than an uncovered balcony due to weather/rain. Please- anyone who has had one of these mini suites- ease my mind…..!!!

I booked a mini-suite on the Ruby for our Thanksgiving cruise and when I realized that the balconies are uncovered (except for the ones on Emerald Deck at the aft but those are above the night club) I switched us to an aft-view premium balcony (D734). It's listed as "partially obstructed" but I've seen pics and I'd rather deal with a bit of a beam that have such an exposed balcony. Maybe check to see if any of the aft-view balconies on Baja or Dolphin are available?

Thank you for the great pics of the Enclave! This is where I plan to spend a lot of my time. Now I just need to Spa Reservations to open up on Cruise Personalizer so I can purchase the pass ahead of time. 28 days - 4 weeks! - and counting until I'm on board. 🙂

Thanking you for starting another Live thread. We are going on the Majestic for a 3 day on October 6th and a 7 day on December 4th. I keep checking arrival time on the medallion app, but still too early. Plus we haven’t been assigned a cabin yet. Patience is key.

I'll be on that 3-day as well! Plus a 5 day on the Ruby for Thanksgiving. SOOO excited to be cruising again!

Also, according to him Ombuds  description am I right to assume that the weather for Glacier Bay was once again rainy and with low Visibility like last week? After the first group posted such beautiful pictures I was hopeful but it seems that has not been the case for the rest of the sailings. Crossing my fingers that September will bring a few days of sun here and there 🤞

September in Alaska is my FAVORITE. In the 7ish years I lived there (on and off) I found September to be colder but typically a little drier. But I'm also more familiar with the Anchorage/Seward/Whittier area vs the Southeast so it might not hold true for that area. Hope you get great weather!

The people on the roll call for my cruise on August 22 reported being able to start picking their boarding groups on June 23, which was 60 days before our cruise. I did not book the cruise until the end of July, so I missed out on getting Group A. Plus I had to call because the app wasn't working correctly on my phone at the time. A rep was able to get me in Group B. This should work out with my flight if everything is on time.

I'm 48 days out for my Oct 6th cruise and still can't select my group, book the lotus spa, or book anything other than same time each night MDR reservations. Are you in a suite? I'm wondering if that's why I can't select a group or book those yet since I'm just in an aft balcony. I'm getting frustrated. I can already book Lotus spa reservations for our Nov 2022 Hawaii cruise so it seems silly that I can't for one only 48 days out.
