  1. Yuck! And the Royal suite is truly breathtaking. I'll post photos. I kept walking around, saying OMG!
  2. We had dinner at Raw on 5. Delicious meal and attentive service. It was a fairly empty restaurant. I know not everyone likes sushi (including me) but there is enough to choose from if you don't. I wonder if the a la carte pricing is the issue. It was the last night of the cruise and the sommelier told us not all wines were available. She replaced the one my DH wanted with a pricer one without charging which was nice. I think any issues with availability are pure supply chain problems, not a grand scheme by Celebrity. This has been a fabulous cruise and yes there have been some service problems but it is a few people, not the entire cruise or company. They are hiring (assistant waiter in Cosmopolitan started a week ago) so training is ongoing. A couple I talked to raved about the sommelier in Luminae which was the same person we had to hunt down. They probably need more employees and that is a problem everywhere. We are now docked in Port Everglades and getting ready for our turn around for the back to back. I will continue to take the griping comments on this board with a grain of salt. Prices are rising everywhere, employees and supplies are hard to find. Celebrity is not immune to this. Still a fabulous way to vacation.
  3. No formal tea, but listed on daily as "afternoon tea" with food. We didn't go but I think it said 3:30 to 4:30
  4. We went to Cosmopolitan last night for dinner. It was the last evening chic and lobster night. The service was spot on and the meal was delicious. The staff was attentive and charming. Like every other cruise we have experienced on Celebrity. The back to back meeting was today and 116 passengers are on the next cruise. It has been very windy, gray skies and seas 15' to 20'. Since everyone is inside, it is crowded but there are places to hide. Walking is tough with the seas, but fine if you hold onto the railings! We got a reservation for Sushi on Five tonight. They had several times available which surprised me.
  5. At 12:37 pm it took DH 5 minutes to walk from Mast Grill to the pool bar to get a rum runner and beer and return to mast grill. Four people at the bar, two bartenders. If you want a drink with lunch, stop at pool bar before going to lunch. Lots of people seem to be doing that. It seems very quiet on the ship.
  6. On the Beyond right now, afternoon tea is available in Oceanview Cafe every afternoon from 3:30 to 4:30.
  7. Same here. Kept talking about how well their economy was and then how much tips were needed.
  8. According to the bartenders at the Retreat Pool bar, it is due to "custom regulations." But they said they would go to the pool bar for suite members and get their drinks. Will be interesting to see how it plays out and how many stay on board. Many got off today in Cozumel.
  9. I just met the lovely @David Kane and XZ at the Eden Bar. Thank you for the recommendation of the Clouds drink. So yummy! We had dinner at Rooftop Grill. Great food, good waiter, assistant waiter and "snack attendant" which is a position under assistant waiter. The wine steward was again running....to the Sunset Bar for drinks if the customer didn't want wine. Seems like there should be a better way to do this. It was windy, so put your hair up. There was a loud, drunk group in the hot tub, so if you are looking for a quiet, intimate location, this may not be the spot. We have passes to the thermal spa and I've been using it for the last three days. Very nice but we didn't get them for next week. A person I spoke with today said the ship was about 600 passengers from being full. I don't recall the max, so I can't do the math, sorry. There is sooo much to do on this ship and soooo many nooks and crannies to explore, I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface. It has been wonderful.
  10. My husband had it the first night and said it was delicious.
  11. I'm not sure Le Grand Cafe is worth the extra charge. It was good, but so are the other eating venues. We went to Eden last night and it was amazing. Food and service were fabulous. Trying to get several reservations for next week's cruise. Today is Cozumel so we are staying onboard and using the thermal spa again. Tonight is Rooftop Grill.
  12. We will be on next week's cruise as the 2nd of our back to back. It will be interesting to see if there is a difference. DH wants to try Cosmopolitan so we'll see how that compares. I'm having lunch at Le Grand Bistro on this port day. It's empty. The onion soup wasn't super hot, which is nice. I'm trying the Brie & Turkey sandwich. Will let you know.
  13. We took the Behind the Scenes tour yesterday to see the inside workings of this cruise. That was fascinating but two hours of walking, so be warned. The Shore Excursions staff reached out to us about our complaints of the Nassau tour, so we will see how that gets handled. She was very apologetic but we told here that was not a Celebrity issue, but the local tour operator. We just wanted them to know.
  14. I was afraid this would happen...I got so caught up in the cruise, I forgot to come here and post! We had dinner in Fine Cut steakhouse on Monday. It was delicious. All the food has been fantastic everywhere. It's the service that seems a bit off. I truly think they are under staffed. We tried one of the MDR last night, Tuscan. Again delicious but a bit off. Salads came and they were wrong. Had to ask for more water. Entrees came and we still hadn't had anyone stop to take a drink order. But the poor somelier was literally running. Really. Had to run upstairs to get more wine almost every 5 minutes. So to me that means management hasn't figured out how to stock things. I watched him trot through the dinning room the whole time we were there. Yet, there were some employees just walking at a leisurely pace, including our assistant waiter. Very interesting. We had similar service in Luminae so we asked for a different location this morning and the service was back to what we expect with the suite class. I love Celebrity and don't want to cruise with any other company. I also don't want to be a negative Nancy. But when you spend this kind of money and you KNOW how nice it can be, it can be a bit disappointing. There are so many lovely, upbeat and happy employees on this ship, it's sad that a few less dedicated employees can bring the experience down.
  15. We met the lovely @gotta cruise againtonight in the Retreat lounge. So much fun to put people to their "handles"!
  16. We went on the Best of Nassau tour and it was horrendous. I think everyone on the bus will be seek a refund of some sort. They dropped us off at Altantis for 40 minutes but we couldn't go to the casino. Only had VERY high end stores and we weren't supposed to go there in the first place. He gave us 10 minutes at the Queen's steps which wasn't enough to go up and down. And he told us we weren't going yo the fort, but stopping at a different one. Sure, we went to a different one that was closed but there tee shirt vendors in the parking lot, selling cheap stuff. Last stop was the rum distillery which was the nicest stop but we could only stay for 25 minutes. I expect the excursions desk is going to hear about this. Came to OVC and had great pizza. But the service at the Oceanview bar was terrible. No waiters stopped. I asked one to place an order and said he'd be back but he never did. Ended up going up to the bar to order. Definitely not like prior service on Celebrity. And the waiters were chatting more than working.
  17. We're there at 6:30. Maybe bump into you at the Lounge later!
  18. The Retreat lounge is wonderful and was quiet this morning but I think lots of people were already off the ship. The crew trip over themselves to wait on you.
  19. There is a live review being posted by @mac_tlcand he posted the daily. I'll try to remember to snap the photos, but I think @mac_tlc has that under control! We ate in Luminae last night and I didn't care for the menu but got the salmon off the standard menu and it was delicious. My DH got the NY strip and he said it was perfect. The staff is amazing as usual. And the ship is breathtaking. Too many "things" in the stateroom thanks to the designer, but I guess that's her style. We are off to an excursion of Nassau, "best of," then back to try Fine Cut tonight.
  20. PS...no lobster roll for lunch but burger was available.
  21. I've followed other live reviews, which always make me happy and feel that it is my turn to return the favor. Hope I can live up to the big shoes to fill. We are in a Celebrity Suite, doing a back to back and won a move up bid to a Royal Suite for the second cruise. Stayed at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach for two nights (review in Florida departures) and got an Uber to the port. Cost $42 before tip, but I think I reserved the bigger vehicle. He was 10 minutes early and the trip was quick. Check in downstairs was fast but had to seek out someone to check us in at the lounge. No worries. Got on board quickly and started exploring. Beautiful ship, happy crew. Lunch at Luminae was good but service was a bit slow - they were packed. I don't care, the wine glass and water glass was filled and I'm not going anywhere. Now hanging out on Retreat Lounge, in the shade, enjoying a cocktail. Captain Kate is scolding the 69 people that haven't finished the safety drill. Hopefully we'll be underway on time!
  22. On Thursday (or maybe Wednesday) to Sunday, music everywhere. Starting at 5 pm at rhe 5 o'clock bar, then 7 pm at the bandshell right outside the Landshark Grill then 8 pm at the Margaritaville restaurant.
  23. We are also in the lounge and my DH is very happy with the bourbon selection.
  24. To continue...we had massages at the spa that were simply amazing. The best massages we've ever had at a spa. My therapist called herself an "anatomy nerd". I called her an anatomy guru. We stopped at the liquor store across the street and I got wine for the cruise. Good selection and reasonable prices. Dinner last night was at the JWB steakhouse on the property. Fabulous meal. We both got the filet mignon and it was so tender. The weather hasn't been great, but it's warm and cloudy vs cold and cloudy. I'll take it. The skies have cleared and the sun is rising so I think this will be a beautiful day to start a cruise. We really enjoyed MHB. We are relaxed and ready to continue our vacation. We will come back here for a vacation even when we aren't going on a cruise. If you want to be pampered and be relaxed before you get on board, consider staying at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach resort. Highly recommend.
