Did anyone get caught in the Seattle airport fiasco last Sunday and/or Monday? The line to go through the TSA was out and into the parking lot! Yikes. According to the news/footage, so many missed their flight even arriving at the airport 2+ hours in advance. Not just cruise passengers, of course. We got off the Quantum on Monday Sept 12 and had no troubles at the airport but we’re not pleased with the “walk off’ procedure. There was one long line we joined at 6.00am running all the way back to the aft. When it got too long, they started a new line running towards the stern so those coming on down after 7am or so got directed to this new line and when they started disembarkation they just meshed the two lines. It was not a popular move. Don’t know if this is the way it always is. It looked like those come to deck 5 once the line started to move, just joined in and exited. No one to direct the maddening crowd. On a positive note, the Port Vallet works like a charm. Free! You can sign up before you sail and get a confirmation number and you are all set. Put your bags outside your cabin the night before and you get your boarding pass. You next see your bags at your final destination. Sweet!

Just got an email today that said “Fill out your health questionnaire on our app when you receive it the day before your sailing. ”. So it would appear there is something additional to answer on the app, the day before sailing. It does sound like it is the same or similar to what we use to fill out at the terminal prior to boarding. ‘Are you feeling I’ll, etc.’

Did I read there is something like 24 hours of free internet for Diamond members? I don’t see it on the list of Member Benefits. If there is, how does it work? You sign on and from that moment on the clock is ticking?

On previous cruises, you answered a few health questions at the terminal just before boarding. Is that still being done or will the ‘Health Status’ being completed satisfy that requirement?

If not on a Wi-Fi package but you have filled out the ArriveCAN app prior, what do you do when arriving in Canada? Do you have to show/open the app or having filled it out and submitted prior to boarding (US Port) and maybe bring a paper copy works?

I understand they post the 4 drinks (Diamond) on your account and if not used, they go away. Do you show the app from your phone or a sea pass card? Are you able to have one person pick up 2 beverages and have them be for two accountw? I.e., I get two coffees, one for me and one for husband but have them post one to my account and one to his?

Not planning to get Wi-Fi package but understand you can put on Airplane Mode then hook up to ship Wi-Fi at no charge. Then you would be able to utilize the app while on board. Would this also work for other apps (like the ArriveCan and/or your airline app) or is it strictly for the ship app?

Am I reading this link wrong? I’m seeing robes available for all but Gold ‘for the asking’. It’s the 5th item.

Does anyone know if Quantum will be able to dock at Skagway (rockslide) or anchor — or have to skip Skagway all together? We’re there Sept 8th.

Sorry to be so lame here, but on the app, Date of embarkation currently says ‘must be between 8/9 and 8/13.’ You can’t go further if not in that date range. I imagine this changes daily, but boarding on 9/5 but not to Canada till 9/11, we wouldn’t be able to fill out till after we sail (like 9/8 or so) thus not meeting the RCCL request to have the ArriveCan app filled out prior to boarding. Again, no doubt something I’m not following ….

I have the app but can’t fill out till 72 hours prior to arrival into Canada.= Since Canada is our last port (round trip Seattle) we wouldn’t be able to fill out prior to sailing yet I read somewhere you have to have it filled out before boarding the ship. Does the website have a form we can copy and hand fill-out and is that acceptable?

The check in section of the app has ‘travel info’, ‘arrival time’ and vax record. I submitted the vax cards and a couple of weeks later I got the green check mark and was good to go. Now, today, that third section/line item went away. No green check mark or any mention of the vax cards. Anyone else notice this. I know you would still have to show the cards at the terminal, but wondered why it was removed?

It will be 3 weeks for us this coming Sunday. If it goes beyond 3 weeks do we call RCCL or? Everything else went it fine but they say they are still ‘validating your records’. 2-/2 weeks and counting…..

By booking an appointment, you attest that you do not have COVID-19 symptoms and will not enter the testing site with COVID-19 symptoms.

They probably don’t even ask why — but most certainly charge whatever the reason.

Albertson’s. Covid-19 Molecular (NAAT) Test. Results in 20 minutes for $69. Get a proctored, PCR-quality test by Cue. I’m assuming you take the test there, wait the 20 minutes and get some sort of proof/certified paper and/or email that can be submitted to RCCL or the app?
