  1. @hallux @njhorseman maybe we’re speaking of different things. Are you saying that a cruise ship cannot go to several US ports then to the Bahamas, or Mexico, or Canada and satisfy whatever rule/requirement you referenced? I’m confused.
  2. It could include Mexico and Canada also. But one port might have to repeat on turn around day.
  3. Yes my DH and I would be interested. And perhaps the cruise could be 2 7-day cruises that start in one port and end in a different with each leg not repeating any ports. Just a thought for any CCer’s that are restricted to 7 days.
  4. Happy Belated Birthday @graphicguy! Looks like you almost spent it in your birthday suit😁
  5. Thank you for posting your pic. Extra crispy with sauce on the side is definitely the way to order! However, can that wax paper liner get any smaller? On our cruise last month there were a few times our food was off the wax and touching the table!
  6. How awesome! I would love to see your document as we have a cruise in June ‘26 (yes it’s far away) with a very similar itinerary. Maybe when you return you can post a pdf. Enjoy your cruise while we enjoy your Live!
  7. This sounds fun. @complawyer can DJ. @schmoopie17 can do stand-up. @ChiefMateJRK will raise a glass of Guinness to their performance (let the heckling begin). @graphicguy can be the official cheerleader with the infamous slip-n-fall. @Sugar Magnolia will have his back. @BirdTravelswill do the Official CC LIVE. @mking8288 will manage all things technological and weather predictions. @njhorseman will be responsible for port relations. @RocketMan275 will promote the Official LIVE to ensure it’s 200+ pages. The 🐀’s will take over the ship. There will be a shortage of Blue Moon. @hallux will bring his ID. @MagnoliaBlossomwill be upgrading with World Points. @julig22 will provide knowledge on booking and upgrading solo accommodations. @zqvol will 😂. And, last but not least @cruiseny4life will be in charge of formal night. As for me, @laudergayle. I will read the “fine print” AND use the right browser so I can have full transparency when booking this most fabulous cruise.
  8. Yes, I’m aware of the fine print. The point of the original post was to share with others to be careful as the “fine print” totals may no longer be included in the total shown until after you proceed beyond the Names page. This is what is different for some, not all people. It appears to either be a glitch (or NCL test) based on what browser or hardware you are using.
  9. Open to recommendations, please.
  10. My PCC said she has reported this issue to management multiple times as people don’t like the surprise…duh.
  11. iPad. Again, this is very recent change. In the past I’ve always used the total on the Name page to compose my booking info for my PCC…until yesterday when she surprised me with a total that was $685 more. I almost didn’t book.
  12. Up until recently Port fees/Taxes showed up before making it all the way to actually checking out. Now, on Chrome, it doesn’t give s final total on the page where you enter Name, etc. Once you think you have the total, enter names and click to buy, you are surprised with another $225-$350 pp in taxes..which could be $1000+ depending on the # in your cabin. Safari currently gives you the full total on the name page.
  13. I noticed you didn’t mention hash browns. What’s up with that?
  14. @zqvol I’m convinced you’re an AI bot. 😁. 🥰
  15. Inexplicably, perhaps. While I didn’t express my emotion in my original post, I chose to share in a latter post. Unnecessarily, not. Since you quickly disqualified any “shady” practice by NCL, I wanted others, you in particular, to recognize how someone might feel like they were being duped by NCL’s practice of not disclosing the full cost until after one took the step to final payment.
  16. I didn’t say they were being shady. I said I felt like it was shady. I understand the requirement for CA change. I also know that others in the past have reported being blindsided by Taxes/Fees not being visible until after you enter guest info. So this is not a new issue related to the transparency in pricing CA. My post is simply to let others know that it found happen to them, so be aware.
  17. @njhorseman Maybe so…I hope so. However, today it felt “shady” to me since on all previous cruise bookings (9 since restart), I never had to add guest info for Port fees/taxes show up. It def threw me for a loop.
  18. I know this has been a topic that comes up every once in awhile…but I’m posting now because I was personally impacted today. I have always used Chrome to do my NCL.com research and mock bookings. And, I always get to the page where I select Travel Insurance and get the Grand Total for the cruise. This is how I craft my email to my PCC with booking details and total due. Well, imagine my surprise today when my PCC contacted me to say that my Total did not include the Port Fees…which amounted to an additional $$650. This is a very recent change for Chrome as I do mock bookings a lot. At the moment Safari gives a Total including taxes/gratuities after selecting Travel Insurance. My PCC told me she has reported this multiple times to mgmt as her clients are caught off guard, and supposedly something is being done. I know I did some mock bookings a couple months ago where you had the option at the beginning to select tax included. Anyway…just wanted others to be aware of the “hidden bottom line” if currently using Chrome to research.
  19. For you and DH…definitely Vancouver. AK is calling you😊
  20. ANY cruise port for me is an awesome port. I do like Manhattan a lot…just wish the itineraries were more exciting. Port Canaveral is easy-peasy if you’re driving. San Juan Pan American pier is the worst in terms of traffic congestion outside the terminal.
  21. Like NCL, many of Princess non-US cruises are more than 7 days. We’re doing a 14 day Iceland/Norway cruise next summer. R/T from Southampton…which is fine for us since you can do both London and Southampton pre/post cruise. And eith London, you can also pop over to Paris for a couple days.
