That is interesting. Thanks on the Colon point. We stopped at Panama City and not Colon, although in doing our excursion from there we went to the Atlantic Locks by Colon. So I suppose the advice is then to check Country requirements, the Ship/line requirements (and finally port requirements…?.) I did know that some CIs require it though and it may also be dependant on where you have come from as well! Easy Peasy!? Thank goodness then we were OK, but clear that for the future I need to do more homework!

You have to check the ports you are due to stop at. For Panama itself you don’t need a yellow fever jab certification. We went in October (not P&O) and stopped at US, Mexico, Costa Rica, Columbia and Panama and no certificate needed.

Thank you for that and made me squint at the booking I made again. First time doing a complete fly cruise booked from the cruise Line itself. Now looked at the one back. Both are with TUI and I am on 15.35 from Tenerife. Prob part of the same bussing arrangements to the airport? See you in the passport queue? 🤔😂

BTW I hope I am going on 13/01 on a Saturday rather than the Friday… But I am sure our paths will all cross even if we don’t know it! This is my first experience of a packaged “fly cruise” I usually do all independently so it will e interesting for me.

Last minute booking on Azura for January. Booked the superior deluxe cat DE guarantee. But did book “cross the tick” But do the homework and look at what is the worst cabin location for you/lifestyle/daylife pattern/irritations and beyond. Look at deckplans and the usual googly stuff on where you could be and what is the potential for other noises etc as well considering mobility issues etc. I had the bidding email this week for my trip I have just booked. I placed a little on for upgrade for suites (I am off the back of a few suites -sorry - different lines but then again I am quite promiscuous on lines and cabin types - happy with insides btw ) but then I researched further (t and c’s, deckplans etc) and cancelled those bids. Horses for courses and all that. I realised for this particular trip and my circs. that I am happy on this line and this particular ship with that cabin grade wherever we are situated. So I had a bit of an escape and can spend that money elsewhere. Sometimes upgrades aren’t all that they are cracked out to be. Just feel comfortable in yourself and do research.

BTW all I could do was book from London “all airports” and so I didn’t know where the starter point would be from at the time of booking. Fortunately we are flexible in terms of that.

Hi there, booked this very trip really recently (>2 weeks ago) and after a week or so we got confirmation that we are on Tui flight out from LGW (N) at 9.50 - if that helps? But then again a lot of people for P and O to get out there from various starter points and prob using other carriers as well - even with LGW?

Ditto. I didn’t book because it was asking me for a specific slot and for only 15 minutes session long and to apply that decision for throughout our cruise. Well that is just pants on all aspects. So this is not happening for me. But I would have booked if it was like Celeb - Ie for the period of the Cruise as and when. And as like yourself, I feel the whole point of this is to be able to just pop in as and when and relax? I just Don’t get this proposition? But at least they have the separate sauna etc that is free on Radiance, which is where I will now be - as and when! Sorry RCL you have actually lost it there.

Before I get flamed here my q is about 2 dollar bills isn’t that legal tender? I am probably so naive but I would say unaware….

As a Brit about to do a cruise which will very fleetingly involve the US this autumn (and after a fair few years covid etc and all that!) pls can someone provide a summary in a couple of bullet points with a few words about what is wrong or difficult with US legal tender currency and in particular 2 dollar bills? Apologies - I maybe late on this thread and a complete numpty about US currency and particular bills. But if someone could succinctly summarise the pros and cons it may help those that don’t tend to use it until we have to ( which for us will be October) sorry no judgement or anything else here other than fact finding as I don’t know - genuinely!
