  1. Hey there. I am doing an on-our-own vow renewal on the Grand Princess on May 1 ! We talked to the wedding department, and after some negotiating they were willing to allow us to do the vow renewal package and add on guests (with a limit on the number of guests, I don’t recall how many). There is a form online to book a date for the event and that’s how I got in contact with them.
  2. Good to know and be prepared for! If it makes a difference, we will be in a balcony
  3. Hello! I am wanting to get some fold flat cloth boxes from Dollar Tree for the shelves in the closet on the Grand Princess. Can anyone on board measure the shelf/cubbies ? Does anyone know where to find the measurements ?! Thanks!
  4. Super helpful thank you so much! Did you happen to get a price for digital images ??
  5. Hello!! Looking for recent info on how much it costs to have a few hours long photo shoot around the ship, and how much for prints/digital copies? Thanks for your help!
  6. And it’s not pretty. The wedding with reception is actually a good deal. But the fact that $2,000 buys you TEN guests, hair and makeup, and a whole ass private cocktail reception with live music …. While $1,400 buys you two guests and a $100 in room breakfast anyone can book is honestly disgusting. I inquired, and at first contact at least there is no option to add on guests to anything below the “timeless ceremony” package. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. For us, looks like we will book a specialty lunch on our special day and renew our vows as a toast. It’ll be lovely and won’t cost us $4,000 just to have a few friends and family present. Breakdown below. “Renew the Love” Symbolic vow renewal couple only $1,595 Ceremony performed by the ship's captain, including a personal welcome and photo opportunity on the bridge Pre-recorded ceremony music Two fresh florals Single-tier celebration cake following the ceremony Sparkling wine toast following the ceremony Photography service for ceremony and walk around (up to three hours) Two 5x7 memorable prints Stateroom decor Pre-cruise and onboard wedding coordinator Keepsake vow renewal certificate “Perfect Pair” Wedding Couple plus two guests $2,995 ($1,400 more, plus $500 for legal wedding) that $1,400 buys you: Two guests Two more 5x7 prints Assistance with dining reservations for the couple Romantic breakfast for the couple in stateroom/balcony One bottle of sparkling wine Four chocolate-dipped strawberries “Timeless Ceremony at Sea” couple plus up to eight guests $3,995 ($1,000 more plus $500 for legal wedding) that $1,000 buys you: 6 more guests (add guests for $29 each) Solo live musician during the ceremony Twenty digital high-res photo files Wedding couple gift bag “Timeless Wedding at Sea” couple plus up to eighteen guests $5,995 ($2,000 more plus $500 for legal wedding) $2,000 buys you: Ten more guests (add guests for $39 each) Four fresh florals for the wedding party Bridal hair styling & makeup All digital high-res photo files Six more photo prints Dedicated venue to celebrate after ceremony (up to one hour) • Signature Good Spirits® welcome cocktails, curated by the couple, for all guests • Two-tier wedding cake • Sparkling wine toast for all guests • Solo live musician Premium dining experience for the couple Princess cruise wedding packages.pdf
  7. Okay so if I go for upcharge lobster, I’ll go for the one in the MDR. Thanks !
  8. I’ll be sailing the Eurodam later this month. I have reservations at Tamarind and Pinnacle Grill and will be eating in the MDR at night. If I want to get lobster once on the cruise, where is the best option?
  9. Planning is half the fun for me 🙂 Wanting to plan dinner times and which show to go to. Shows are at 7:30 and 9:30. How long are the shows, typically? Sailing Eurodam Seattle RT later this year.
  10. Oh great I’ll try chat, thanks !
  11. Yes, I am learning the differences. Knowing what is “normal” and what is different about my booking really helps me navigate my needs/preferences 🙂. My TA said she would put in a request for late seating and I have no problem requesting it on board. Thanks for all the help!
  12. I don’t have a receipt from HAL, just the one from my TA. Is there somewhere in the app or website I can check? My TA said she thinks my type of booking (interline) automatically defaults to open seating, but she’s going to try to waitlist me for fixed late dining. I’m sure it’ll be fine, and I’ll check on board to see if I can get fixed late. I don’t imagine it fills up.
  13. This is super helpful thank you! My travel agent didn’t ask or inform me of any dining options so I will have to contact her. I am sailing on Eurodam.
  14. In the past I’ve been assigned a dining time, or been able to reserve a time I pick ahead of time, or been able to show up and wait for a table. How does it work on HAL? For example, I’d prefer a set later dining time for just the two of us by an aft window. Is there a method to put in those requests ahead of time? Do we get assigned a table for the cruise, or just whatever is available? Would love a run-down on MDR dining options and methods. Thank you!
  15. Thank you so much for these! Very helpful in planning for my upcoming cruise in September!
  16. Thank you! Is there an extra cost to order MDR room service? Or is it included (non-suite stateroom)?
  17. Is it true that the main dining room menu can be ordered as room service?
  18. We will be on the Royal this Saturday for the first Alaska cruise of her season! What production shows are currently on board? (our Journey view for this cruise isn’t loading for anyone, people at Princess say it’ll work when we are on board).
