Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. All aboard time in Ketchikan will likely be 12:30. Last shuttle from Ketchikan to Ward's Cove will likely be 11:30. This is probably why the ATV has a return time of 11:30 and you will probably be fine depending on your risk tolerance.
  2. Post 2 is correct, but just to clarify - dropping off your bags is the first thing you will do and disconnected from checking in. After dropping off your bags, you can either walk to the check in line or you can wander off and do whatever until you come back and check in. Once you check in you are in a holding area until you board.
  3. We just got off the May 1 sailing on the Sun, if you have any specific questions feel free to ask. My understanding is that it was primarily a safety/inspection drydock (as mentioned above.) One of the crew members we asked about said they had stayed on during drydock and were helping other departments (he then pointed to the bartop and said we were the first guests to put our elbows on it.) I also think they rearranged the machines in the casino (presumably for the worse as I don't think it could be any worse than it is now.) There were still multiple guest reports of plumbing issues so I don't think anything major refurb was done. It was also our first time on the ship so I don't have a great point of reference.
  4. We were on 2 weeks ago in a balcony/non suite. There were no nightlights in the bathroom, and the switch for the lights was outside the bathroom (so it was impossible to turn on the bathroom lights without lighting up the bedroom.)
  5. Isn't that the case for all port stops though? Does "daylight hours" mean something specific to HAL or is there something unusual about Stockholm that this is listed specifically for this port, and only this port out of the 9 stops on the cruise?
  6. Does anyone know what this means? It is listed on our itinerary for a stop in Stockholm where the hours are listed as 7:00-6:00PM. I assume it means they may leave earlier than 6 if <something>? Not sure what that something would be since sunrise/sunset times are fairly predictable.
  7. How far in advance is the table assigned? Will we be able to see it on the website/in the app before we board? (With fixed dining.)
