Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We had early excursion with princess so we met in the theater. Our tender stickers were delivered to room the night before. I'm not sure about outside excursions but it was very well organized and didn't seem like anyone was having issues getting off in time.
  2. Aug 11th - To start Embarkation was super easy! We were picked up at Inn at Market by taxi at 10:45 and were on the boat and watching safety video by 11:20. We were green lane and have to say it was extremely fast and run very smoothly. We were/are in A428 with an extended balcony and the room is perfect for the 2 of us. Nice size and plenty of space. The larger balcony was a plus. Our room steward was amazing. Food - Ok, I had read several posts saying the food was not the best and I must agree. We have done Disney and Carnival and this was below both of those. The buffet was ok but seemed less than what I would expect from Princess. Crown Grill seemed to be a waste of money to me as the steaks were not as we had ordered and very under cooked. We did love our dinner at Sabatinis, everything was delicious. We were on reserve class and had lunch and dinner in the Concerto Dining room and again .. was not impressed. Lunch was cold by the time we received our order. Room service was nice option. We did burgers and fries and they were much better than what we had in dining room. We did not not do Alfredos but did have pizza by the pool and that was very good. Intl Cafe was very good and the desserts are to die for .. highly recommend! Lastly, the internet was very spotty and if you want to stream tv shows ours would freeze continually. My husband had issues “swapping” between phone and tablet (andriod) but I had no issues with mine (apple). We had to go on the the medallion app and switch devices on there so both devices must have the medallion app loaded and signed in.
  3. Ours arrived 7/31 by USPS for my Aug 12 sailing. I booked our speciality restaurants months ago as I read they book up fast.
  4. I did not purchase it was a promotion for free when I booked last year. I thought that was what original post was asking about.
  5. I booked last year and also received as part of a promotion. I just check my account online and it shows "PURCHASED" under the new Plus program. It says to call if I want the new Premier.
  6. I would love to know too as we go next month.
  7. I received this yesterday from DLUX / Evergreen Taxi .. it appears they do: The Shuttles used up their allotted number of ppl they could take to the Glacier. 8. DLUX RIDES/EVERGREEN TAXI has service that takes you directly to the visitor center. 9. Check out Evergreen Taxi. They are permitted to drop at the visitor center and have online reservation request. I think its $40 per person http://www.evergreentaxi.com/
  10. I was wondering same thing. Bus or Taxis? We are now looking into Evergreen/DLX Rides since they can drop off at the Visitor Center. I suppose they may have issue with permits too. You would think they could have honored all booked and limited from that point on. It is very disappointing.
  11. Looking for reviews and how far in advance you booked your car. We were just cancelled by Glacier Blue Bus as they can not get any more permits. I do not want to take city bus due to the extra walking distance and Dlx Rides can get us into the visitors center. We will be there 8/14 and worried they will book up too. I did try calling but they do not have a voicemail available and no one answers.
  12. No, third party booking is not the issue: We are very sorry but your Tour with M&M Tours MUST be cancelled at thistime. We cannot honor your booking due to the fact that we are out of GLACIERPERMITS!It saddens us to say but we have no Glacier Permits available. We havetried to hold on as long aspossible hoping to receive more Glacier Permits. As far as we have beentold, there will be no moreGlacier Permits forthcoming. We are not taking any new bookings for our Blue Bus or Juneau HighlightsToursat this time. Please check our website for NEW tours that do NOT go to theMendenhall Glacier. mmtoursofjuneau.comPlease check with our dock booths (M&M Tours of Juneau) the day you are inour beautiful little city of Juneau. They may have something available for you.Thank you,Tammy
  13. Have you been on your cruise? If so how did it work out with Dlux Rides? We are looking into using them as well.
  14. I just received this email from the Blue Bus - I would not hold out hope for a ticket -- We are very sorry but your Tour with M&M Tours MUST be cancelled at thistime. We cannot honor your booking due to the fact that we are out of GLACIERPERMITS!It saddens us to say but we have no Glacier Permits available. 15. With the shuttle bus companies cancelling confirmed reservations and not selling any new spots you would think there would be some other mode of transporation to get there. Has anyone use taxi service? This seems wrong to cancel a booking that was paid for and ticketed.
