  1. We are staying at the Mediterranean Inn
  2. We are sailing out of Seattle in May and staying not far the pier 91 pre-cruise. Is there a place nearby to buy wine to take onboard?
  3. I saw a report that Quantum was having engine problems. Has anyone heard this and by chance is there an update?
  4. We've played it on the last few cruises. It's fun! My $ last longer there than it does at the Blackjack table LOL If we break even we are happy, but usually not.
  5. Is it possible to put money on account before the cruise?
  6. We've started collecting the magnets too. It's great to be able to look at the fridge and be reminded of our past adventures.
  7. I'm happy that there are NOT 200 comments complaining about butter! It's the little things...
  8. Agreed! We don't have bread very often, but we really enjoyed the rolls with this butter!
  9. We cruised at the end of January. We had the earliest check in time and got to the port 10-15 minutes before that. When we got seated in the waiting area there were at least 200 people already waiting. Nothing was said and there was no signage regarding check in times. Have a great birthday!
  10. My wife and I talked about this on our last cruise, how we've changed as cruisers. We were those who had to be doing something all day every day. We'd have the Compass marked up, run from one thing to the next. Now we definitely chilly more. If we miss something that we thought we might want to do it's no big deal.
  11. Agreed! We love the experience in the MDR. Have we enjoyed every meal that we've had there? No, but the same could be said of any of the restaurants we visit at home, or even some of the specialty dining meals. It's nice to relax and enjoy the waiters. Most of the waiters we've had have been really good. The MDRs are decorated beautifully, which adds to the experience too.
  12. On Symphony 2 weeks ago. My wife found it in the WJ. Never saw it in the Solarium where we had breakfast most often.
  13. We are also booked in May for 2 nights. We decided to rent a car so that we could do some things outside of town if we wanted.
  14. We enjoyed to Solarium Bistro for breakfast as well. We spent a few super lazy days going from the Bistro, to the Solarium lounge chairs, and back into the Bistro for lunch. I think the Johnny Rockets breakfast was better, but the Solarium was very easy and less crowded than the Windjammer. There was also, no line at Johnny Rockets.
  15. They aired the conference championship games at the aqua theatre, so you could get your Johnny Rockets to go and watch the game on the big screen. The game starts during early seating in the MDR, so that might help reduce the crowds a bit.
  16. We were at Labadee last week. It was cloudy and looked like rain most of the morning. Afternoon we got some glimpses of sun, never rained. the air temperature was nice and the water was nice too.
  17. We were on this sailing as well. It was a great cruise. The usual congestion at the elevators, but I don't think that can be avoided, unless you are up for the stairs, which we did choose several times. We ate at Playmakers for the first time. It was really good. I made the mistake of ordering the onion ring app. My wife doesn't eat them, so we ended up taking 1/2 the order back to our cabin! We also tried Johnny Rockets for breakfast one morning. We'll definitely make that something we plan on for our cruises from now on. We booked Symphony again next year.
  18. Eliminating hunting could lead to over population! 😆
  19. We hid ducks on for the first time on our last crews after a niece of ours found one on a previous cruise. We hid 20-25 ducks early in the day. Actually, sat an witnessed some kids finding ducks that we hid. It was a sea day (so the kids needed something to do LOL) My wife casually let the mom know that had hid the ducks and she thanked us. It was fun seeing kids get joy from something as simple as a duck. (Hide and Seek) Not with faces buried in the screen of an electronic device. The kids weren't wild or out of control. That evening before dinner we retraced or steps and every duck was gone. We also had a large family celebrating the birthday of an elderly member of the family. At breakfast one of the family happened to see our bag of ducks ready to hide and asked if they could have one to give her as a memory of the trip. She was very thankful. Such a little thing, but an opportunity for a magical, memorable moment.
  20. I thought it might be cool to watch the ship arrive (via webcam) if I happen to be awake. Does anyone know approx. what time Symphony gets back to the port?
