Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I don’t know the price of the day pass options through the cruise line. Our travel agent is researching pre and post cruise options for us. She was told we couldn’t purchase these through the cruise line until a year before we sail (which will be June for us), so she got 2024 pricing. The two night pre cruise stay for two in an oceanfront room at the Tahiti IC was $4,000. The three night post cruise stay for two in an overwater bungalow at the Moorea Sofitel was $6,000. Both include transfers and some meals. So far, it looks less expensive if booked directly (not through the cruise line).
  2. I will add we had the anytime dining so maybe that is why we had bad service. We tried both tables for two, and tables with other passengers.
  3. We were on this same cruise but had a different experience with the main dining room. We thought it was beautiful, but the food was hit or miss (maybe we just ordered the wrong things), and the service was terrible. Definitely understaffed. We ate in all the speciality restaurants and they were consistently good. Canaletto was $25/pp and was surprisingly good. I don’t remember the exact price for Rudi’s but it was the highest cost, maybe $50+/pp.
  4. Half Moon Cay was cancelled for the Rotterdam today. Winds are too strong to tender.
  5. Where do you make reservations for the Collonade and how far in advance do they post the menus? (This is my first Seabourn cruise.)
  6. I apologize if this has been asked before but I could not find this information. I know Seabourn states no reservations are required at dining venues other than The Grille By Thomas Keller. But how difficult is it to get a table at any of the other restaurants? If we walk into a restaurant and it is full, do we wait or do they send us to another restaurant?
