  1. I thought that may be the case - oddly my cruise departs before 1st August on 29th July. I’m planning to arrive early - let’s see what happens!
  2. Hi all, On my last Princess cruise in August 2022 I had to select a boarding time in the app. I’m due to go on another Princess cruise shortly and can’t find any option to select this. I have moved to Platinum on Captain’s Circle since the last cruise so I’m not sure if that has made a difference or whether Princess have changed their boarding process. To make it more confusing I’ve just had an e-Mail asking me to complete check in, including selecting a boarding time but I can’t find anywhere on the app or website to do this. Have I missed something or am I alright to turn up at any time to check in?

  5. Did you ever get a solution to this problem? I too am based in the UK and am getting the same error message when I try to book speciality dining, however MDR bookings are fine.
  6. Thanks for this - very useful. I do have an issue when trying to book speciality dining, when I try the app I get a message stating “An error has occurred” and on the web version I get an error stating “Unable to retrieve guest’s journey information”. It doesn’t seem to matter which speciality restaurant I choose or which day/time the same error occurs, however I can book MDR dining with no issues. I’m travelling with my wife (both of us are Platinum on Captain’s Circle) and my son (Gold on Captain’s Circle) and our cruise isn’t until late July but I’d rather not wait until we’re onboard to book the reservations. Does anyone know why I’m getting these error messages or what I can do to get past this stage?
  7. So I found out the issue. Both myself and my wife should be Platinum in the Captain’s Circle but for some reason only my cruise history was correct. We contacted Princess and after some checking they have moved my wife to Platinum. As soon as that happened the dining credit showed in the app for speciality dining. I guess if they hadn’t done this I would have had to wait until I’d paid the full balance.
  8. I have just booked a cruise with Princess Premier and have only paid the deposit so far. I am Platinum status in the Captain’s Circle so can book dining reservations already, however when I go on the app to book and try to use a ‘credit’ it only gives a paid for option for speciality dining. I’m unsure if the ‘credit’ only becomes available when I pay the full balance. At what stage were you able to booked the speciality dining - before or after you paid the balance in full? Also, does anyone know what happens if I do get charged for the speciality dining when it should be included in the Premier package? I’m happy to be credited with OBC as I’d likely use it across a two week cruise - I’d rather do this than risk not being able to get into our chosen speciality restaurants.
  9. Did you book your speciality restaurant before or after paying your full balance for the cruise? At the moment I’ve only paid the deposit and I’m unsure if the ‘credit’ for the speciality dining only becomes available once I’ve paid in full? I don’t mind getting the on board credit as we’ll likely use it over two weeks on the ship - I’d rather have that than not be able to book the speciality restaurants that we want to visit.
  10. Does anyone know when the ‘credit’ for the included specialty dining for Princess Premier appears in the app (or, indeed, how it shows)? I have booked and only paid the deposit so far. As I’m Platinum level on Captain’s Circle I’m able to book dining at this stage, however when I select the speciality dining it only shows a paid for option (I’ve always stopped before I’ve pressed the ‘confirm reservation’ button). Do I need to wait until the full balance for the cruise has been paid?
