I focused on getting my Patriots game; since at the start a massive blowout on the fish through a qtr and 1/2 last Sunday; til they pounded our backup QB into the ground! Get well Jimmy G! Patriots need you next Sunday. T
Because this guy is back in 8 days!

Now you're talkin! GO PATS! I've never missed a game yet on a cruise! Guess I've been lucky...hopefully I won't miss one next month while I'm on the Anthem!

Would you mind taking a picture of the drink menus? We are on the Anthem next month and I can't make up my mind whether or not to buy a drink package!!! I keep reading how outrageous the drink prices are.....
thank you!

What an awesome review! Do you work for Royal!? Your videos are so informative and such a pleasure to watch! Thank you!!

Late night food besides pizza and mini sandwiches! NCL had one section of the buffet open late night with snack food...DH loved it!

Last time I was in Labadee (10 years ago!) we had to use tenders...
does the ship dock now or is it still tenders?
-
Yes, it has the 20% off if it says it - but the 18% gratuity usually has to be added on. Also you might want to look at this thread as it looks like prices are going up on Tuesday.
I was reading that thread which prompted me to look at the prices again. Didn't know you had to add 18% on top of that price....hmmmmmm.....not sure I can drink that much!
-
Looking at the beverage packages in My Cruise Planner and it says 20% off sale. Does the price they are showing reflect the 20% off or does it come off after you put it in your cart? Inquiring minds want to know.... ;)

Best pillows ever were on Carnival....I loved them so much I ended up ordering 2 online!

I just went through the same thing. Booked last Saturday for October-paid in full. 6 days later it was $400 less. I called and was turned down for anything. I knew that was going to happen but called anyway. I know it's policy but...if I bought a flat screen TV for $2500 and 6 days later it's on sale for $1999, the store would refund the difference...a friend booked air fare with Southwest 7 months ago and the price dropped 4 times and every time it did, she called and got a credit towards a future trip....just sayin...
I am happy with what I paid and happy with the cabin we were assigned (we booked balcony guarantee), but some on board credit would of been sweet!

Hi,
Due to circumstances/health issues we seem to book with final payment period. This is interesting about the 60 days out timing. The only concern is getting good airfare. Have you had experience with air pricing being good 60 days out too?
We just booked two cruises last week & see now there's an extra $200 obc offered on each - which would have been the 60 day mark - interesting.
Cheers,
NJ
DH and I never fly....we live in Mass and always sail out of New York/New Jersey and once out of Boston. I flew last fall with my sister but we had an air fare voucher which is why we flew to Miami.
I will remember to book after the 60 day mark although last Saturday was the 60 day mark....what a difference 6 days made!

If you bookmark this flyer it usually updates late Thursday afternoons/evening

Thanks! I will!

The sweet spot inside final payment (if you're gonna wait that long might as well wait a bit more) seems to be about 60 days out - that's when many sailings show up on the GGG flier as well.
What's a "GGG flier" ??
-
I decided to call anyway and was told the only thing they could do is an upgrade but because we were assigned a D8...that it wouldn't make sense to upgrade because the D8 now is $100 more than we paid for the guarantee last week. Learned my lesson...never check prices AFTER I book and pay in full.
We never book early, always within 2-3 months of a cruise and always a guarantee and have never been disappointed.
Live and learn! Happy Cruising!

Booked last Saturday, had a cabin assignment on Monday! We were about 60 days out...
-
We booked a balcony guarantee and am happy with the cabin we were assigned. I should of known better than to keep checking the price!!! I think I'll just pretend I never looked and I promise I will not look again!!!

So, I've been trying to talk DH into booked the Anthem in October. Finally convinced him, now was the time to book, so I did on Saturday and paid in full. He kept saying, I bet the price will go down, you wait and see! Well, I just checked and I know I shouldn't have....it went down $412. Do I call and see if anything can be done or not frustrate myself?! I am not telling him about it!!! I could kick myself for not waiting one more week....
-
I believe it does....I booked the same thing this past Saturday - the next day it said on the reservation - "obstructed view balcony" - I was disappointed but knew this was a chance I was taking. Then on Monday we had a cabin assigned and it is a D8 on deck 6 and it is NOT obstructed, so I am very happy now!

My husband is very concerned about late night eating... I read where the only options after 9:30 are sandwiches and pizza...is that true? That really is his only worry!
I, on the other hand, have no worries! Just love to hear details!
-
I literally just booked this ship about 20 minutes ago!
Just start talking! Great trip? Food? Entertainment? Secrets?
-
Does anyone know how long it takes to get on board credits from your points on your Visa card? Thinking of booking an October cruise...would like to wait to cash in the points until after the September 6 billing cycle to get the (double?) points I would get from paying for this cruise in full today...know what I mean!? ;)
-
We've been trying to decide between this ship and the NCL Breakaway for an October cruise. I think you may have convinced me to try the Anthem! Thank you so much for your detailed review!
Couple of questions -
The only late night food is the pizza or sandwiches at Cafe Promenade? My husband loves late night snacks and was disappointed on our last RC cruise with the sandwiches...
Was the Windjammer always mobbed? I hate circling around for table!
Do you have to make reservations for everything before you sail?
Thanks again!
-
hi there. yes we did have a real table for two every night during the rotation. only in Silk did it seem close to the couple next to us.it worked out quite well actually.we will sail Anthem again, and do it the same way. happy cruising everybody.
That's good to hear! Did you do traditional dining?

Not sure if the room service is 24 hours, however, those in my group that used it waited at least an hour or more. If you feel like sitting in the cabin and waiting over an hour for food, I guess its an option.
However, I don't remember if it is 24 hours and my daughter ordered breakfast a few times and was charged $4.00 for "farm fresh eggs".
Really? I thought it was included...
I was going to ask about room service...does anyone have menu to share?
My husband is very concerned about no late night food except pizza!
Trying to avoid....being seated at a table for two!

Okay, now I'm curious - what ordeal on the Anthem? We're on her in 3 weeks and I want a table for 2...do not want to be close to others and plan to email our request this week.
So, what was so bad on the Anthem?!
