I didn’t realise you had to book Headliners, is this the theatre show ?

It’s lovely reading all your responses and it’s give me lots of things to think on. We are arriving by coach so hoping to board by 3pm. We did book a couple of restaurants in advance , Limelight on celebration night and Epicurean for another night. I like the thought of getting unpacked, quick lunch, a little dip in the pool with a couple of cocktails then back to cabin to get ready for dinner with pre drinks in the crows nest. Think we are going to have a look on the app to see what MDR is available for the evening. Can’t wait, only 10 days to go 😃

Hi we are due to depart on Iona in 2 weeks and very excited. This is only our 2nd cruise the first one was nearly 6yrs ago so I would think a lot has changed since then. What do people get up to on board for the first day on board ? According to weather report for Southampton in 2 weeks it’s going to be hot and sunny so I would imagine people will make most of pools and hot tubs ?

I have read that it’s best to have balcony rooms on the starboard side for the sail away from Olden. Our cabin is 10606 but I have no idea which side of the ship this is, can anyone help please ?

Can I ask if I'm not flying and going from Southampton is the weight allowance the same 23kg per suitcase and do they actually stop and weigh them ?

On that I’m not sure, this is only my 2nd cruise so I will let people know when I travel . My first cruise was 5yrs ago and we arrived by coach but I don’t recall it being very busy. We sat in a big hall for about 20mins I think, then before I knew it we were on board 😃

See that annoys me, why book for every night as it ruins it for others who want to go and especially if they don’t bother to turn up on some nights but I suppose whilst you can then people will do it but I think it’s a bit selfish imo. I will try connecting whilst in the terminal and see if that works if all else fails I will bring my pop up tent and set up camp for the night outside to be fist in the queue 🤣 ⛺️

Oh I see, fastest finger first then lol I suppose the people who get the early onboard check in are the ones likely to get a seat. I will try and connect to the holiday app as soon as we are on board. How do you install the app, is it a link or a QR code ?

I keep reading on different forums and you tube videos about how hard it is to get into this club. It doesn’t look like it can be booked online in advance so how do people actually get in? Is it first come first seated ?

This was a question I was wondering about. We are doing the fjords but want to try the hot tubs and the infinity pool but can’t be sure of the weather. Could wear my cozzie under my hoodie 🤣

Do you know if you can get ice delivered to your cabin ? I was going to bring my own G&T but can’t drink it without ice.

Brilliant review and looks like you have had great weather up to now 😀 We are doing the same itinerary as you in June and was a bit stuck about what to do when we dock at Stavanger, if we can book a Uber then we will do that. Is it a local app that’s required to download? We are also going to do the sky lift at Olden, what time in the morning did you go as we want to avoid the queues ?

Oh I would love Neil Lockwood to be on the Iona when we go in June 🙏
