  1. "Illegally?" NCL promotes unlimited beverages, that's their marketing choice. Obviously there are asterisk's involved, but ultimately it should be about keeping the customer happy. If I had to pay for something I wasn't using I wouldn't be happy. IF they don't make an effort to solve problems, they shouldn't be surprised when people try to solve them themselves, one way or another.
  2. Obviously, that's not what were debating. The issue is if somebody should be forced to pay for it if they won't be using it because of a medical issue that has arisen since booking.
  3. The whole point of the thread is she isn't allowed to decline the package despite a medical condition. If she is forced to pay for drinks, she ahould use them one way or another. But thanks for riding in here and virtue signaling. I'm sure NCL will be happy to offer you a PR job.
  4. This is a call to arms! The Pickleball army has already captured every single tennis court in the country, and now they are coming to take over the high seas!
  5. If NCL is working with somebody who doesn't already have the permits in hand you may be out of luck. https://www.ktoo.org/2023/07/21/as-mendenhall-glacier-hits-tour-capacity-juneau-visitors-are-opting-for-the-city-bus/
  6. Well unless you can "downgrade" and not have to pay an additional $10 to switch, you would be saving only $10. Daily tips on the booze package are $22. Tips on the pop package would be $2. (Not considering what was baked into the price you originally paid for the trip) With the full package you can probably get fancy "mocktails" if you're into those, which I imagine you can't with the $10 pop package.
  7. Feel free, just taking issue with your implication that those of us who don't (which I would guess is the vast majority) have no idea what it's like to work hard for a living.
  8. Let's see, I was an overnight janitor at a movie theatre for a while during college, does that count as "working my way through?" So with that background am I allowed to have the opinion that tipping for water is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard of?
  9. If not tipping for water makes me a 'cheapskate,' I'll proudly wear that moniker and believe I'm in pretty good company.
  10. You tip for water? So now it becomes clear why the ship doesn't provide proper self-serve water.
  11. Just big electric ovens? Are they allowed to call it "Barbeque" without fire or smoke? There must be some sort of law against that, it sounds like bbq blasphemy.
  12. The Swing revival was a blast, over 20 years ago now, and it was spurred by young people like myself at the time. So not at all just for "old people" So it's time for another revival so kids can see how cool it was once again. Great tunes and fun to dance to. The crooners, have never completely disappeared, there has been a constant string of one or two, Michael Buble having taken the torch the past few years. I would certainly take time out of my cruise to see a jumping big band.
  13. OK you've convinced me, I'll take a photo of every drink I imbibe. (Granted it may be a little boring if they are all martinis) Is 100 a reasonable goal for 7 days?
