  1. My suggestion would be to stay somewhere near the water so you don't have to deal with any crazy Seattle hills aka cliffs. I stayed at the Kimpton Vintage last summer before and after my Alaskan cruise. That was my first time in Seattle. It was very difficult to walk anywhere because of the hills.
  2. I've read elsewhere that in the past it was occasionally offered (on other ships) for a price comparable to the internet plan. Right now, it seems like internet on the Icon has been around $23-27 per day. When they start offering the Key around $25 a day then it will be worth it. I personally don't think the other perks are worth it.
  3. I went on this ship last summer out of Seattle. My suggestion would be to Uber or Taxi from the airport (or hotel) to ship and then have at least some pre arrangement for pickup when to get off the ship. The Uber/Lyft PICKUP location is a little bit of an inconvenience (need to walk to) and seemed like a cluster.. but if you plan ahead with a limo or car service they can pick you up closer to the exit of the cruise terminal at a numbered location. Just a suggestion
  4. Once you connect the travel router to the ships wifi (no credentials needed), then you connect your device (i.e. iPhone) to the travel routers hotpot. Once connected, then safari will pop up asking for RC login credentials for access to internet. The 1 device that RC sees is the travel router, not the multiple devices that can connect to the travel router.
  5. There are videos posted online on how to do this. I really don't want to post a step by step on this forum.
  6. Yes they could but it had to be pretty close to the wall of the next room and the signal was diminished significantly.
  7. Do you happen to know what the price for the Thermal Suite 7 day pass is on this (2/10) sailing and if they are offering any discounts? I'm sailing in about a month and I'm trying to decide if I should book it prior (no discount) or wait until I'm onboard. Right now if I book it prior, it is $109 per person (there's 2 of us) so they are wanting to charge me $218 plus $43.60 gratuity totaling $261.60. Thank you
  8. Isn't that like trying to use a Carnival boarding pass to board a RC ship? jk
  9. We were on deck 13 and smelled smoke. I'm pretty sure it wasn't from the smoking section but peeps smoking on their balcony. Although its not allowed peeps still hide and do it. They stay close to their door so they can't be seen when they smoke. Difficult to enforce.
  10. I went on the Quantum last August to Alaska. I had 2 balcony rooms next to each other, 2 device plan. 2, 902AC's. Everything ran great. I brought an Onn Google TV box ($19) and a firestick for the room next door. The Onn box worked flawlessly but the Firestick was sluggish. I used a cheap IPTV service for my channels which included my local channels at home. (No need for a VPN). The 902AC had a tough time sending a signal to the room next door (metal walls). When we would venture out of the cabin, I would take one of the 902AC's in a Crown Royal bag connected to a small power bank (Again, everything worked great). Everyone already had the specific ssid/password from the 902's saved on their phones. I did have to reconnect to the new BSSID through the GUI when we did that. I'm going on the Icon in March (2 balcony cabins) and I was thinking of adding a small but powerful wifi extender to the ethernet port of the 902AC to see if it would help reaching the cabin next door. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  11. I'm so sorry......I just saw Wonderland thinking it was "Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine" not the Taste of Royal Lunch. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain........
  12. I'm gonna say NO If you purchased Unlimited Dining then check it out, if not I wouldn't pay extra for it.
  13. Has anybody been able to check out the Thermal Suite in the Spa to see if it's worth it? Thanks in advance
