  1. I do not believe this accurate for all ships. I watched a video where someone held paper up to the vent to show it was blowing air with the window open & the bifold doors closed. Also a Canadian travel agent posted a video stating same although she didn't provide proof beyond standing in room stating the air stayed on. I have a more definitive answer when I return from my trip at end of July. If mine doesn't work, I will try to remember to ask onboard why it works for some and not others.
  2. If I can fit everything in it. But my suitcases are easy to roll together due to how they attach.
  3. I do not know about Celebrity specifically, but on other ships the minimum moved around. If the casino was fairly empty (later at night), they lowered the minimum. Sort of like their pricing on everything else.
  4. There are youtube videos showing the a/c working with the window down & the bifold doors closed. But I many threads indicate people have rooms that do not work in any configuration where the window is open. I do not get to test myself until next month. I tend to believe Celebrity has changed this so it functions with the doors closed now, but it very possibly could be ship related. I have found no answer directly from Celebrity.
  5. I agree with this as the best option. So far I've had success with my dining requests by going to the dining room when I first board.- They can show you the table also & you may be able to get a really nice view if you are one of the first to board.
  6. In another thread someone had good success by emailing lhodges@rccl.com and executiveoffice@celebrity.com. I've gotten direction how to best deal with some issues by contacting them via messenger on their Facebook page also.
  7. Were these offers in your email? Did you bid at all or did you just get the emails unsolicited? I was reviewing the MoveUp page for my cruise to see if the low bids moved at all. They didn't and at 7 weeks out, I think I lost access to the page.
  8. Were there ice cream shakes available onboard?
  9. I haven't had issues finding a rommie in past, but after Covid many of mine aren't comfortable with ship travel just yet.
  10. Not to hijack the thread but if I'm going to carry luggage to my room, do I need the tags? I planned to print them out an put one in each suitcase in case something got lost on the plane, but I wasn't going to bother attaching them unless the cruiseline made me.
  11. Thanks for the response. My next cruise is my first on Celebrity (Beyond) & my first solo cruise, although not completely by choice. My roomie backed out due to work & I still need a vacation. I feel a little anxious about going solo pre-cruise but I'm confident an alcohol package can cure that. A decade ago, I was on a NCL cruise where they asked if we (2 in my group) wanted to dine with a group or alone each time we went to the MDR. I've gone on 2 cruises since & that has not been asked at all. Although it can be awkward at first, I really enjoyed the group of strangers setting and by the end of the cruise I recognized quite a few people on the ship. I don't expect to see it offered on Beyond. If you are offered, I highly recommend you try it.
  12. This is going to sound naive, but how are you getting onboard credit? It is a promotion they run from time to time on their site?
  13. Me bad. I don't see a way to edit the poll now - it must lock after someone responds. I think of MDR as 'included for everyone on ship.' Since I missed them vote however you'd classify them. Personally, I would consider them specialty since you are paying extra in your fare to get into them - or other works.
  14. I was curious what percentage of people were eating dinner in the different venues. I know where I think most people eat on the ship but I thought a poll might give better insights.
  15. I was wrong about what the non alcohol package was going to do - at least for my sailing. It has stayed at 32.99/day. The other 2 packages have jumped all around since the holiday sale. They jump to full price sometimes - 84.99 and 99.99. Sometimes they are at the lowest I've seen them: 54.99 and 64.99. And right now they are at 67.99 and 79.99. I'm still undecided if I prefer to have a 'tipsy' trip or not. I can drink enough booze to make the alcohol package pay for itself, but I don't drink enough soda/specialty coffees to make the non alcohol package make sense.
  16. Do the drink packages work at the craft social bar? In the app it looks like food and drinks are both extra in it.
  17. @Old Fart Cruisers @sue402001 Are you on the same cruise? Looks like you depart on the same day.
  18. What is a sunset veranda? Is it one that wraps around one of the back corners of the ship? Or maybe a rear facing balcony? @NMTraveller Interesting about 15% savings - I haven't seen that number before. I'm too lazy to digest that article - hurt my brain. I did see IV balconies on the RC ships - which made sense to me since they have same parent company. I didn't notice percentage of cabins with them but they look to have same 'bones' in the cabins. I had the impression RC was doing the same cabin across the new ships but happy to hear they are doing a mix.
  19. I plan to play for the first time. In youtube videos of the show, the audience has fun but I think it's going to be very similar to how much you like playing and losing at bingo.Entertainment is the main value here. I've never won anything at bingo on a cruise - and with multiple cards I'll likely win something. If you miss the show you can have the casino scan your card & it'll let you know what you won. I think the winnings are given as play in casino. Unsure if it can be on table games or only slots, but you'll have to be lucky twice to actually get cash.
