I was going to ask the same question as Coral. How old are your kids? I took the train because I heard so much about it. I was so bored I could not wait to get off. I honestly don't think kids would enjoy being on the train for hours with nothing to do. There are other excursions in Skagway that would be more fun for kids.

We received a bag on Silhouette last month. Mine was also in the desk drawer.

I came back from my cruise yesterday. Very nice trip, everything went smoothly. RC Oasis class ships are my favorite. Great entertainment, something for everyone. Melody - So sorry to hear about Les. Just as you are getting a handle on one thing, something else happens. Hopefully, the walker will give him some stability and make getting around easier. You asked about Symphony OTS. I didn't think this ship was decorated and attractive as other Oasis class ships. I thought Harmony was prettier. My favorite is Allure. Otherwise, the service was excellent, many things to keep folks busy, and overall, no complaints about anything.

Has anyone stayed in a Central Park View Cabin?
WELDON replied to CDLTEL's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I have booked a Central Park balcony several times and don't hear noise. In fact, I am going on Symphony this Sunday and have this cabin booked. I enjoy sitting on the balcony, especially at night. It is very pleasant and not noisy. On Oasis class ships, I now only book CP balcony cabins. Not all cabins are over a shop or restaurant. Many locations to choose from. -
Hi Melody, I'm Janet, not Barbara. I've never been on Symphony either. I will let you know how Symphony compares to Harmony. What I have noticed in my last cruises on Celebrity vs Royal is Celebrity has a show in the theater every night. No shows every night on Royal although they do offer entertainment in other venues.

I was on the 12/4 Silhouette sailing. I had a blow out twice using 2 different stylists. Both times my hair came out very nice and stayed in. I always get my hair done on a cruise because my hair is wavy/frizzy. I can't take the products I have at home and having it done keeps my hair looking nice. I also take my flat iron in case I need to touch it up.

Seeking Opinions - Would You Wear This Hat??
WELDON replied to Loves_Dogs's topic in Cruise Fashions & Beauty
The dress is pretty but the hat is too much. It does not go with a dressy dress. I agree with others that something simple is the way to go. How about a fancy barrette that a hairdresser can attach for you? Wearing a hat for hours would probably get uncomfortable. -
Basic Celebrity cruise questions - first timers!
WELDON replied to Hilaurennn's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Hello, I will answer as best as I can. 1. Celebrity runs sales on excursions and dining. So if you book pre-cruise, you will save money. 2. Call Celebrity and request a table for 2. 3. Take as much luggage as you want. 4. You can take snacks. Never took any beverages. 5. Each port is different. Many ports are in or close to the center. Some are a distance. You can try asking on the CC boards for the info you want. 6. No reservations for shows. There are always seats available. -
Go to the Bank of America website. Log in and choose the RC Visa statement. You will see a Rewards tab. You will need your booking #, ship, sail date. You can choose the amount of points you want.

I also have lots of OBC so I booked some excursions and specialty restaurants. I am going to use the remainder for gratuities and the salon. Have you ever been to Granada? I was there in January and that is the only island I was not comfortable in. I walked out of the port area, took a look at the surroundings and walked right back in. I was ok just looking in the shops there.
