  1. The $44/day is the price with the 20% already taken off.

The 20% off sale has been going on for quite a while, ever since they introduced the new Deluxe package, not sure how long it will go on, but it's a good deal considering the normal price, plus the 18% added on is around $65/day.

The refreshment package appears to be on sale again today for $18/day, down from $26-$28. That is a great deal.

Yes, I knew that about the 20% off and we already took advantage of that. The refreshment package was still at the $26 per day rate when I logged in about 1/2 hour ago. What I was saying was for some sailings, they will have 25% off and for others (like mine) it's still at just 20% off.

  2. We are staying in a family suite for the first time, NCL. The kids, ages 3 & 1.5, will be in their own bedroom with no windows. They sleep with night lights at home. I can't figure out if there is an outlet in the second bedroom or not.

Assuming not, any good night light ideas? I've seen suggestions for touch lights, but they seem too bright.

We have a family suite too on our upcoming cruise. I've seen a few videos of the RFS and the second bedroom is literally an inside stateroom so there will be outlets for you to plug in a small night light in the room. Enjoy your cruise!

  3. What do you do with the car seat once you get where you are going??? Lug it with you???

I was thinking the same thing. We're about to cruise in two weeks and we're already going to be bringing a lightweight collapsible stroller with us but if we were to bring her convertible car seat, that thing is heavy and there's no way it's going to fit under the stroller or convince anyone in our group to carry it! She's 2 so more than a booster seat is needed.

  4. Just saw this added to the RCI Australian website.

    Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Update

Royal Caribbean will no longer allow Samsung Galaxy Note 7 cell phones onboard our ships. This decision was made in light of recent incidents and safety concerns raised by Samsung about this particular device, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recent ban of the phone from all airplanes. We ask that guests who own a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 not bring the device on your cruise. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and looking forward to welcoming you aboard.

    Thanks for posting this update!

  5. Just a tip in case you haven't heard on the news yet, but if you own a Galaxy Note 7 phone made by Samsung, you can't fly with it. Haven't heard anything yet if they are banned on cruise ships, but they have faulty batteries that cause the phone to catch on fire or explode.

I know fire hazards are taken seriously by RCI, so I'm curious if they'll soon ban these devices. I'm an iPhone user so no worries for me but I'll be letting my group of 25 people traveling with me in November on Liberty about the ban since we all are flying to Houston.

Here's the rundown on the whole story: http://www.theverge.com/2016/10/18/13314864/samsung-note-7-flying-safe-airport-exchanges?spMailingID=13625669&spUserID=MzM4NTgyNjc2MTMS1&spJobID=843710951&spReportId=ODQzNzEwOTUxS0

  6. I think it's just regular iced tea...but you could always dump like 20 sugar packets in there and make your own [emoji16]

This is what I did and I asked for sliced lemon. Wasn't horrible but it wasn't like my southern aunt's sun tea. I don't even want to know how many cups of sugar she puts per gallon [emoji15]
