I've seen/heard there is some sort of digital menu/TV with bluetooth connectivity so you can play your music. Is this true and I then would guess the cabana has speakers?

We just returned and the screen has a digital menu of different types of music you can select to play, or you can use bluetooth to play your own music. The cabana does have speakers that sound nice. The screen does not have TV,  but can be used to call your attendant or to place an order. Our attendants were always there when needed them though and we never even thought about having to call them.  🙂

The cabanas didn't feel too close together and we couldn't hear our neighbors. The cabana to our left did block our view a little to the left, but the view straight ahead and to the right was amazing!

Just returned from three weeks on Symphony

THREE WEEKS on the Symphony??!! That sounds like a dream come true!!!! Were you on the Eastern Caribbean that went to St Maarten, San Juan, and CocoCay? If so, would you happen to still have your Cruise Compasses for that week and be willing to share them, please?

Edited to add: apologies for hijacking this thread. But I'm sure the OP would like to see some more up-to-date cruise compasses for the Symphony too. 😉😄

It’s not your posts, for a reason I will never understand the logic surrounding, you can not PM anyone here (the option is “off” for everyone). I will send it now. Charter, so likely that is AU? If so War Eagle! 🧡💙 If not, then ignore the last part 😂

YES! WARRRRR Eagle (even after yesterday's game)! I love my tigers. 💙 And thank you again!!

It's not too bad, just some extra to do's that I didn't really need! But I am glad if others get something out of the work I put into it, that makes it more worthwhile I think.  I will get the requests from today done here in a minute!  I do need a google associated email address to send it though! AU = Auburn?

Oops, my apologies! I was going to send you a private message, but I must not have enough posts to do that. My address is jbd4au at charter dot net. Thank you so much!!

  5. I've searched and read several opinions on both of these hotels, but I still can't make my mind up. I can book either the EPIC Hotel or the InterContinental in Miami for about the same price for one night. I'm mainly looking for a good view of the POM and a nice pool. From what I've found, here are the advantages of each:

EPIC Hotel - newly refurbished, nicer looking hotel (?), private balconies with the rooms, rooftop pools

InterContinental - better views of the POM, has a club level, closer to the Bayside Marketplace, and slightly closer to the POM

Would anyone like to add an opinion and help me to decide which hotel to stay at before our cruise? We'll be arriving in the early afternoon the day before our cruise and I'd like to make the most of it.

  6. I originally booked a category D7 GTY on the Harmony for February 2018. This morning I see the "generic" Oceanview Balcony GTY category available for $400 less. I've already been assigned a cabin that I'm happy with, but my friends who are booked in the same original category haven't been assigned a room yet. I'm worried about going back into the GTY pool for any category Oceanview Balcony GTY and being assigned a not-so-great cabin. But $400 buys specialty dining and gratuities. Thoughts??
