I am using the iPhone and using the chrome browser to access my other sailings. I am on the Odyssey and am using the Royal app for ship activities and menus. I don’t see any place on this app for my other cruises. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Open the RCI app.  Go hit the little person head at the top right of the first screen.  Below the name of your next cruise, there should be a blue link to "Select a different sailing" .

    Hope that helps!

Perhaps they are sailing in suites?

    My experiences?

There's a bit of a demographic difference in the 2 groups that may tend towards this becoming a permanent change in policy.  The performing in the suite lounge isn't creating more Pinnacles (though I have no source for anything but anecdotal data!)

What are the current hours on the O class?

From a current suite cruiser on Allure, copied from another site: "Suite lounge has the normal foods laid out but someone serves you. Bar service is the same but you can’t sit at the bar. The juice and latte machine is still good to go.
I think you can get bottled water from the bar like we have before. Don’t see why not.
Tonight there are still some pins sneaking in but it is supposed to be only suite guests in here this cruise. Lounge has actually been busy tonight (usually is first night anyhow). Coastal Kitchen is busy!"

I will follow up to ask about specific hours, Gracie115.

Non-vac. They did not have them in July 2020. Kid came back from college with it (couple days after getting here had headaches, etc, went and got tested, had it. Kids boyfriend had it, boyfriends parents had a pretty good case of it also). Wife started showing symptoms 6 days or so after kid came home. Kid popped clean in a week or so (ok 21 year old kid), wife 2 months or so later. That was when they required the deep nasal brain tickler, not sure if that takes longer to clean out or just age/individual trait.

It actually matters that your wife was non-vaccinated for the 12 day virus clearing timeline I mentioned to OP.  🙂
Non-vaccinated people will take longer to clear than the 4 days infected, 8 days to test clear.  In addition, testing has gotten more accurate and also no longer requires the brain matter sampling extraction method.  😅

My wife popped positive on PCR for 7 weeks, 10 days after her 2 day symptoms disappeared.  She was WFH for 7 weeks due to her work requiring negative PCR. You get a nice clump of dead virus in a nasal crevice pit you can pop for months.

You don't mention your wife's vaccination status when she got her mild case of Covid?

I got a very mild case of Covid back in May of 2020.  No testing available to me (at the time) because no high/dangerous fever, but I have never tested positive since then, once Colorado enacted widespread and easily available testing.  I have done nasal and spit testing to validate this ever ending cough is asthma.

Everyone on Celebrity has drinks included from interior to suites but everyone pays higher rates on X so that's not the same as suite guests getting free drinks.

On NCL is the suite bar inclusive all day?  Actually looking at NCL for their 100% vaccinated so no masks policies.

Depends on the sale NCL is running, but choose a suite on an -away class ship and see if you can choose a beverage packages for the price of the gratuities.  You will have beer and cheapish wines included from the Haven bar.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.  I agree with those who are going to impose a self quarantine pre-cruise, if you able to.  Our next cruise is September 17th, and I am doing the rapid test next time.  Though CVS was quick in getting me the results, it would have been nice to know 36 hours earlier.

Do a PCR with your normal (free) provider before grabbing that rapid test at CVS, as you might test positive on the antigen due to HOW it tests (pieces and parts of the virus):

    Seeking an answer as well.

I am vaccinated but my wife and daughter have thus far chosen not to be.

We have a RCL cruise out of Cape Liberty NJ in December.

My wife and daughter can have a negative result on a Covid test less within the 72 hours timeframe and they or good to go?...Or....like this thread's topic...everyone needs to be vaccinated?

Will you even be able to sail in September having tested positive now?

Latest science publication I have read says vaccinated + asymptomatic infected people will have a max of 12 days to test positive in a PCR test (4 days active infection, 12 days max to clear the virus).  I hope that is enough time ahead of OP's September cruise, because this turn of events is horrid.

I wish you hope and wellness, OP!

I presume you mean noses pointing at a snooty “I’m more important than you because i have a badge with my name on it” elevation. 😂

    DYAC! 🤣
My husband demands I leave it... he agrees heartily with you.  His experiences with Pinnacles have never been welcoming, and he avoids any gatherings of frequent cruisers as a result (Meet and Mingles, suite lounge, free drinks hours).  😞

Not in Bergen County.  They still have blue laws.

Per Google, that means you can't buy clothing, electronics, and furniture on the far side of the river from New York City.  Did I google that correctly?  You can buy beer and get a Covid test, but that couch is OFF LIMITS to your credit card on the Lord's Day of Rest?

I hope they keep everyone but the suite guests out of the suite lounge permanently.  If Pinnacles (or anyone else for that matter) want access, they can cruise in a suite.  I'm tired of coming in and finding it mobbed.

I agree.  You can always hear the "conversation" from the massive table of guests hosted by a Pinnacle better than your own table, too. That nose level isn't pleasant in such a small and open area.

I can understand sitting on a towel on the beach or pool area but people go about the ship and in dining areas such as the WJ completely bare.  Do they carry a towel everywhere they go?  Is there a towel police onboard?

Clothes serve as a barrier between people and other surfaces, they serve to prevent people from leaving their bacteria all over the place and from picking it up from other contaminated surfaces.  This is pretty commonsensical.

Swimsuits aren't adding that much between you and someone else.  You wouldn't blink twice at someone wearing a swimsuit while grabbing their burger on deck.

Honestly, this is a tempest in a teapot and a very welcome humorous respite from all the acrimonious testing threads in the past week.

It is NEVER the people you want to be naked that participate in public nudity.  It is always the too tight budgie smugglers with a stretched flag across the backside.  😞

We would be getting into Brooklyn and transferring across to Bayonne on a SUNDAY. What would be the chances of getting a PCR test in 30 minutes on a Sunday?

    1. Pull up Google maps.

    2. Put in a port to start looking from.

    3. "Rapid Covid testing sites near <port>"

    4. Start clicking websites.  CVS comes up more for the Bayonne side, while Port of New York City has other Urgent Care options.  Both CVS and Urgent care facilities would be open on Sundays.  CVS can be scheduled ahead of time (CVS seems like your Boots pharmacies)

Hope that helps... I found over two pages of options when I tried the above steps out of straight curiosity.

  15. Have you tried a PC or smartphone?  You need the RCI app for muster, and you mentioned "tablet"--have you installed Royal Caribbean's app and tried there?

(There's a BUNCH of fancy troubleshooting options like if Javascript is disabled on your tablet, so I am trying the easier stuff first.  Try another device, or through the installed application versus browsers...?)

The question I have is simply this:

If the OP entered a contest assuming a specific sail date and then RCI changed that date to a future date that is no longer workable for the OP (but satisfies a business concern for RCI), hasn't RCI changed the rules ex post facto?

Doesn't the OP have any recourse on a possible "bait and switch" by entering a contest with a specific advertised sail date and then being told that the actual sail date will be different after the OP won the contest and can no longer sail on the changed date?

    Steve

No.  The rules allowed <the giver of free stuff> the flexibility to change to meet the needs of giving said free stuff.

This whole thread is taking on the air of sour grapes due to a loss of ability to take advantage of a good will offer.  BecciBoo... No, I don't support the OP in their quest to FORCE RCI to give them free stuff.  I find it tacky that we're reviewing legal terms in an effort to compel RCI to "make OP whole" for an offer the OP cannot now take advantage of due to illness.  It truly sucks that the OP wasn't able to take advantage of RCI due to coming down with Covid, but let's not do a whole full court press on RCI to compel RCI to move an expired coupon to another date, another ship, etc.

This situation sucks, but this thread's turn to enforce an expired coupon via social media enforcement is tacky in the extreme.  If someone was no longer able to pick up a free couch from my house, the idea they could hold me in violation of a verbal commitment (due to giving the couch to someone who could pick up the couch that day) is very offensive.

(and yes, all the puns were intentional)
