I took OBC when my 2020 cruise cancelled. Casino offer went from $500 OBC to $650 when rebooked. That's going to be my gambling money.

You can always order beer, wine, liquor to be delivered to your cabin.
-
If you want to keep early dining, just skip it first night. But can stop by and tell maitre'd out of courtesy for the wait staff. It's not unusual to see lots of empty tables first night.

check youtube videos for your cabin, people sometimes show their door chart with muster location.

Was in the rooms exactly at 1:30 good job Carnival!!! Now I know these people work dang hard to make sure these rooms are clean and ready for us and they do every thing they can to see to our needs and bust their buts to see to our comforts… BUT.. it’s not that I don’t trust them, I just won’t fell comfortable until I go over it myself.. and it didn’t take too long
I've been bringing lysol on cruises and to hotels for long time now. I still always seem to end up with a cold after cruise, but I can't sanitize the public places.

Online Check-in, Setup, Questionnaires
Since I am but a lowly “GOLD” VIFP, I had to wait for my online check-in until the 23rd, midnight on Thursday worked just as well lol, and the 28th for the second leg. The process has changed some as many will note but the end game is the same as you just have a few extra questions to answer to get that all clear and all checked in. It was rather quick and painless in my opinion. I did notice for the first time, it has been a while since I cruised out of NOLA, that we were given the option to “speed up” the boarding and check-in process with facial recognition. Now, I am all about that if it makes life easier, it definitely sped up and improved the process in Miami so if it is just as officiant here I will give major kudo’s to the staff at the Port of New Orleans. I was somewhat surprised to not be asked to upload a picture of my passport… But, seeing as how opted into the facial recognition it might now be need. You are now asked to read not only your cruise contract but also the COVID disclaimers, another addition, and to decide how to set up your onboard account. As always I will be using the cash option, as I have a good bit of onboard credit and a few gift cards to apply so I am set. I will of course have cash to put on but I don’t see myself blowing through that much. All in all it took MAYBE 5-6 minutes each time I had to do this. It was literarily one of the easiest ones I have done even pre-Rona…
~Jay~
I assume facial recognition will be offered for Glory in February, I'm all for anything that will get me onboard faster!

I've only done one cruise with this offer for me. Drink cards were in our cabin upon arrival for both myself and travel companion.

Yes, but they are coolers (as with the other Carnival ships), not refrigerators. No guarantee they will be cold enough for meds.
Per usual then,. She's flying down, I'll be offering her a collapsible cooler if she needs it.

Just another in a LONG list of reasons why I am grateful I am retired....don't have to deal with any of that crap anymore!
Hang in there, there is no appreciation for hard workers anymore.....your vacation is rapidly approaching.
There will always be complainers, sadly even on a cruise ships!

Pre Covid set dining was aft and YTD was midship.
Thx for answers, 3 of our 4 cabins are aft, so YEAH! 9 people in our party, so we decided set time easiest for us.
Different question, since refit, balcony cabins still have mini fridges? My sister brings insulin. Strangely cabin descriptions on CCL don't mention them, but I've seen them in older youtube videos.

Does anyone remember which dining room is for set dining times? also, for those who've sailed out of N.O. since restart, how was embarkation?
-
I'll be jumping on Glory in Feb., so looking forward to your embarkation in N.O. Hoping, but not expecting things to change much Covid protical wise. Did you see if FTTF was available on your cruise or still too early for that to be available for Nov cruises?

Just my two cents, but in addition to possible patio cleaning, crew members may not see who dropped off belongings and turn it into security?
-
I haven't seen a dining package on my booking, think you have to book individual restaurants. Pay at time of booking.

This just in: Southwest latest with mass cancellations, over 1,000 today. Second day of a bad weekend for Southwest. They said a lot of the trouble originated in Florida. I'd imagine there are some unhappy Carnival guests down in Florida right now.
read earlier today that southwest had a "sick out" due to covid mandates.

Check youtube for cabin videos. February 2022 we're on deck 7 aft. We have cabin 7439 and other family has 7445, so we'll have quite the big balcony with divider open.
Because we have 9 people in our party, going assigned seating option.
As others have said, not much to see after it gets dark, but I love sitting on balcony looking at shore and occasional ship lights.
Just don't forget to change your phone to airplane mode, you have a few hours after sail away to do that.

In my opinion, when traveling with others, it's easier to have set dining time. No calls back and forth about "you guys ready to go to dinner?" Especially with our next cruise, 4 cabins, only 2 next to each other. Also, courteous to let your waitstaff or maybe Maitre D know if you won't be at dinner on certain nights.

I'm still a long way from platinum, have used FTTF for last cruise. I check every day for it to show up for our Feb. 2022 cruise. Loved cabin being ready and ended up using it at guests services more than I planned.

No, they don't do that AT ALL on a land based casino. You don't know what you're talking about.I know that for a fact. My husband just last week played on my card at several different Atlantic City casinos and won MULTIPLE Jackpots necessitating 1099-G forms. All he did was present his card to the slot attendant. When they questioned him he said he was playing on his spouses card but wants the reporting form on his own card/account. No problem. The slot attendants could care less. In fact the next day he won a jackpot on his own account, and it was a slot attendant who knew him. She even asked who's card you want the taxes taken out on.
We've been doing this for years, in both Vegas and Atlantic City, and in fact have even done this on table games (roulette). My husband is a substantial gambler and has 1099G's in the 6 figures annually.
It's a few years ago, but married couples used to be able to have their accounts combined as one. That may have changed.

We sail on 8/14 Mardi Gras my husband and I have $400 in obc. Trying to figure out if we should purchase it on board.
Question is it 10% more on board then to buy it before we leave?
Don't forget you have to pay gratuities as well. Believe my 7 day comes to around $430 with grat.

I tried to locate the walking / jogging tracks on the EPIC and Breakaway from the deck plan. I have found:
1. Breakaway - Outdoor track - Deck 16 center. Between decks - no jogging track, except that we can walk around the Deck 8 waterfront.
2. EPIC - No outdoor designated jogging track. Between decks - Deck 7 starboard side and the view is blocked by the lifeboats.
Do I miss out anywhere else?
Just my observation on Breakaway. If planning on using jogging track, you may want to go early, high volume of foot traffic once the day gets started.

Hi there, on my next sailing I have the cheers package. Not much of a drinker, but I do have some questions.
Do I get a sticker or something? Can I get a soda and a bottle of water at the same time? Is the tip already included in the price of the cheers?
I also have never followed the 'bar open' info, so is there always a bar open? Any input would be great, thanks.
someone mentioned casino bar open until early a.m., at least 1 of the pool bars opens up fairly early (think 7 a.m. or so)

We enjoy all the benefits of FTTF but the special line in guest services is the reason we purchase it. It never fails that when we have an issue, or need a transaction, the line is 20 people long. I prefer not to “waste” valuable vacation time waiting in line. That makes it worth the purchase for me.
I agree with guest services vip line was worth it. I used it muliply times, a great way to get bills changed if casino machines out of order

If you have cheers package, does buying a bottle of wine count as 1 drink of your 15 allowed?

When I've driven to N.O. I park Fulton, no problems there so far. My brother pays twice the rate to park at cruise port block or so away, he has more money than I do. LOL
Have always taken shuttle due to others with me, but could easily walk it with luggage.
