The Breeze and Magic are basically the same? The promenade deck sticks out wider than the other decks? What does the Dream not have that the other two have. I have been on the Magic and I am trying to decide between Breeze or Dream.

Stay on ship time wherever the ship is departing from. All aboard will be ship time no matter what local time is. Tour operators work on ships schedules. When I get to an island I ask what their local time is so I know both times. From what I've experienced Disney for some crazy/dumb idea changes time during a cruise. Do they think people are not capable of doing the math?
-
Head to Serenity area for a quiet time then back to main pool for the crazy activities.

I'm with you-Carnival works best with me at the age of early 50s. The newer Carnival ships offer more than the older ships regarding outside activities.
-
I was booked on RCCL and it was a good rate on a nice ship then after reading much, I decided I didn't want to cruise with that choice. I love the fun on the pool deck, burgers or burritos at no extra cost, cruising with a group of fun loving crowds and not ones that want to worry about my attire (which is always proper). I don't care about ice skating, I'm going tropical, wouldn't climb a rock wall or spend money or time on a fancy promenade. So it's Carnival for me and an occasional Disney cruise.

Magic 11/25/16 wouldn't work for you ?
It might! I was looking for earlier November so I didn't see that cruise when searching. And it's on the Magic. I love that ship. If I don't go that week, you showed me many other options.

What does St Kitts offer? Never been there; taken seven southern Caribbean cruises. That port doesn't seem to be included on very many itineraries.
A different island to visit that we have enjoyed.
-
I think it started on Disney line. I always decorate my door. The kids love it and it helps to spot our room quickly. Sometimes its decorations on clearance from party city or from a dollar store. I put the 3m strips on to hang the decorations and they peel off perfectly and clean.

Not so. I went solo in December and had YTD and sat by myself every night. MaitreD never asked if I wanted to sit with others.
Was your table very close to another table? I've had a table for two next to our table of four and we all visited like we were at one table. That's better than being stuck with personalities you don't prefer every night if one chose a specific dining time.

Quite a few St Kitts stops currently offered

Thanks! There is. I was specifically wanting a date in November 2016 on a newer ship but for the next cruise I can choose from many options.

After reading other cruise line forums and comments I've decided I am perfectly fine with Carnival and the newer ships make it even better. If they would just offer more 8 night cruises and go to St Kitts. I'll throw in a Disney cruise occasionally, but I'm working on whatever comes after Platinum. Not that it really makes much difference. If you ask on that other cruise line they are all about their levels. That might be one area Carnival could improve-Rewarding frequent cruisers.

I am platinum on Carnival so you know I love Carnival. Sea days at the pool are great. Music and fun times. We are thinking of cruising on Freedom of the Seas in Nov because it's an 8 night and goes to St Kitts. Will it have the same"fun" atmosphere and how do the buffets compare? I'm not picky about food. If we don't go to the MDR I am content with other food options on Carnival other than the fact I'm missing the melting cake. I love the laid back non judge mental crowds on Carnival. Opinions please. It will be a 50ish female with a family of mom, dad, 3 girls 10, 5 and 3.

You are correct. I just checked my dailies - it opens from 2-5pm :)
Thank you. The club is open 10-12, closed till 2 then open until 5 unless they are going with the club to eat?
-
Why not? The kids can eat lunch and take a nap, then go back to the club refreshed....
The children are not used to waking early because of the parents work schedule. After lunch would be the perfect time for the parents to relax at the pool without children before having to get the kids ready for dinner. I read a post that stated they were having to get the children from the club at two or three hour intervals. I understand now.
-
on sea days it opened at 10am and usually closed around 5pm.
Then it opened again at 6 for dinner in the lido buffet. After they ate they take the kids to the kids club and it open until 10 pm. Then after that you have to pay
Did they close for lunch? I remember they did for the build a bear workshop.

We have used Coral Breeze a few times and it was wonderful. Last visit was July 2015. What has been going on with them?
-
Thinking of the Dream or Breeze in Nov. Does anyone know the hours of the kids club while at sea? It will be for a 3 and 5 year old.
-
On Ncl is the kids club closed during the day on sea days? We are booked on RCCL and I was told the club was closed 12-3. That's when parents are finally ready to relax before picking up the kids for a nap or to get dressed for dinner. We can't afford DCL every time especially for a last minute decision due to self employed.
-
Thank you! Closing noon to 3 is not good.
-
Cruising in Nov with my 5 and 3 year old granddaughters. I have not looked up the age groups yet but I read on another cruise line post that the club on their RCCL ship was only open 3-4 hour intervals?? Do they not stay open all day till 10 without a fee? I understand their might be a lunch break.

what are dress shorts ?????? short are shorts and the evening dining room rules read "no shorts".
You don't see a difference of shorts on people???

I concur with this. The area around Calico Jacks seemed really busy and a steep beach in the past. Venodrs were lined up one after another for chairs/umbrellas with not much shade around except the umbrellas.
At Royal Palms, it cost a couple bucks to get in, but the taxi fare is a couple bucks cheaper. We walked down past the loungers to the right and layed our towels out-not because of the money to rent the loungers, but because of the nice shade and less crowded.
It was still a quick walk to the bar to grab a drink. They also have an adults only pools, restrooms, and showers to rinse off.
I agree with the steep beach at Calicos. We enjoyed the food but there really wasn't much beach. Next time I will be going to a different spot.

I should have stated dress code for men and not on "formal" nights. Nice jeans and shirt would be the safest for MDR I would say. I am surprised Disney started allowing shorts in the MDR. I feel their dining rooms are more formally decorated. I've only been on a few RC ships and the last one was Oasis 4 1/2 years ago.
Kids dress code for MDR

In my opinion the dress code is pretty relaxed for adults. No tank tops or gym shorts. On formal nights I dressed my young ones in slacks and a button shirt with tie because we had them. Slacks and a polo would look nice.
