Are the doors magnetic?

My best suggestion is to never get your medical news from CNN... Nothing but a bunch of alarmists drumming up ratings.
I believe all media is like that.

I'm a Carnival junkie. Sailed on the Oasis and did not like it. It was to big for me. To much planning needed for me. I'm glad I experienced it. There might be more activities on the bigger ship that the kids will enjoy. You will enjoy it I'm sure.

You doing 9 weeks of cruising or 9 b2bs? Sounds wonderful either way-enjoy! I would have to enjoy the beaches at the ports. Maybe not every stop.
-
I agree. I did not like the Oasis. To big, to much planning, pools were GROSS...I prefer to sit on deck near the pool, listen to steel drums and gaze out into the ocean.

We fly into Houston Hobby, book a night at LaQuinta stay and cruise package and you are totally taken care of. Airport to hotel to ship back to airport.

Galveston seems to have a lot of issues with that as well. For that simple reason I will never cruise from there. It's too bad, but I can't be stressing about if I'm gong to be able to board the ship on time, or be able to get back home. I'm nowhere near driving distance and can't take the chance of getting stranded. Even if I book my flight late in the day, that's no guarantee either.
I was in a fog situation in Galveston. Embarkation was delayed-had a great seafood lunch and watched the Dolphins before boarding. Debarkation was also late and Southwest was great with changing flights at no additional cost. The fog was very bad. Was no problem at all. I had an open mind about it being a possibility with the time of year I was cruising. It's always been a very easy port for me living in KC MO.

I prefer the Magic but wouldn't pass on Freedom either. I like all the islands. No complaints on Carnival at all. Some are more critical than others. Carnival is the most fun on sea days hanging at the pool deck than other cruise lines I've been on.

What are the requirements to purchase Carnival gift cards?

I would check Carnival Magic. I love that ship.

I think it totally depends on the ship. Just like any cruise line Carnival does better with its newer ships. We did a cruise on the Carnival Breeze last April with a group of high school seniors and a couple moms. We are loyal Royal cruisers, but we had a blast and were very happy with the service and food on the Breeze. The boys led a dance party on the deck the last sea day, and us moms had fun watching and filming it. I hate to say it, but Royal has a hard time being as playful as Carnival is during the day. But night activities are ruled by Royal with their variety and much better shows. I would definitely not do a carnival cruise on the smaller or older ships.
I agree.

I'm excited about all the ship offers on outside decks. I'm not picky about food. I want to be around fun loving relaxed people and not so serious and grumpy. It will be great I know. I'm the kind when the Disney boards dog Carnival-I defend Carnival. It's like if I can get what works at the dollar store I do. If I need something in particular and it has to come from a higher priced department store then I'll go there. Some aren't that versatile. I really like Carnival Magic. Can't wait to check out the Vista some day.

Just curious, but what didn't you like about the Oasis? Was it just too big? I have been on Freedom/Oasis/Allure...the Freedom was my least favorite of the three, but I loved Oasis/Allure. Freedom is a beautiful ship with a lot to do, but in general I am turned off RC due to their exorbitant alcohol prices and lack of poolside food/drinks/ice cream. The nickel and diming is extreme to me. The shows were good on the Freedom and the ice show is awesome. Make sure you go to the Quest!
I did not like the Oasis because it was to big. To many people for the pool. I like hanging at the main pool deck watching the activities, listening to music and looking over the rail out into the ocean. I don't care about shopping on board. Making a reservation for a show isn't for me. The sports deck was great with my son. That is usually where we went after dinner. It was to big of a ship. Going to deck three or whatever for pizza didn't make sense. There wasn't a place to get water near the sports deck.

In Cozumel we take a taxi to Chaankanub, Cayman we love native way tours, Ricardo Riley on FB does a great tour in Jamaica. The blue hole is beautiful. If that isn't what you like he will custom any tour.

I fold my luggage tag as directed, lay out a strip of clear duct tape longer than the tag, lay the luggage tag on it with the info facing the sticky side, loop it through the luggage handle and stick the ends over. I make extra tags and attach one to both handles-side and top. I want to make sure my tag stays on. I take a small pair of scissors and cut them off when luggage arrives to cabin.

In St Kitts we hang out at Reggae beach bar and grill. Google them and also have a FB page. I can't remember if they provide transportation with a fee or suggest a taxi. Great food and fun. In winter months I like to head as far south as possible.

I am a Carnival junky 20+ cruises. We are booked on Freedom of the Seas in Nov for an 8 night because of the itinerary. The ship looks really fun. My question is will there be any fun? Will it be full of "stuffy people"? I cruised on the Oasis 4 years ago and DID NOT like it.
-
Seems like it already has everything it needs except maybe the burgers on deck? I can't remember-I get them confused. I love the Magic. It's beautiful and full of deck activities for all ages.

San Juan is a hill when you get off the ship. We walk to the fort and it's straight up a hill.

I am in Mo and love cruising out of Galveston. Cheaper flights to Houston with less crowds. We fly in the day before, stay at a hotel that offers shuttle from airport to hotel, hotel to ship and back to airport with a stay-cruise package. Very simple. Yes, I have been in a fog delay situation and it wasn't a big deal.
-
The private tour groups deal with cruise lines daily. They would have to know the timeline/schedules and set up the departure time and get you back to the ship on time or they would go broke. I never book a tour through a cruise line cattle call/herd and in 25 years of cruising I have not even had one close call.

We love cruising out of Galveston. Very easy. We fly into Houston Hobby and stay the night before at LaQinta. There's a shuttle airport-hotel-port-airport. Very nice people. On their web is a stay n cruise offer. Worth it to me. They will get you to the ship early. If you have a foggy delay, drop luggage with cruise porters and walk next door for a drink and appetizer. You might see dolphins swimming.

I totally agree!! I've even read articles that this is a government made virus. I don't know if that is true or not but I wouldn't doubt it.
