On our last cruise, the had the Chef's Table twice. There must have been an unusual demand.
-
There's still a lot of video on demand. We watched several on our cruise in March.

You don't HAVE to wear a lanyard. I never do. You can carry the card or use your phone.

I like the idea but there are already so many pinned post that a pinned post for each ship would move new content to the second page.

There are certain hormones in a woman’s blood if she has been pregnant. They would be there even if she never knew she was pregnant. So asking for male donors only illuminates any possible hormonal interaction.

Female donors who have been pregnant are more likely than others to have these HLA antibodies in their plasma. The antibodies could be harmful if transfused into certain patients.
Thank you! I had no idea.

It doesn't matter what happened that prompted the call for a blood donor.
It is no one else's business.

And yet you're both reading this thread

I just got back from the Apex sailing, March 23-30. On the last night at 1143 pm there was an announcement asking for any male passengers with O positive OR negative blood to report to the infirmary. Anybody have any idea what happened?? I did see a stretcher and an ambulance at the ship in Port Everglades. Just curious, and scary for whoever needed the blood.
Why do you suppose it had to be a male passenger?

I'm surprised that no one seems to know the answer.

Our last two Celebrity cruises in January 23 we felt the line had gone downhill. We then booked Oceania, Azamara and Viking. I occasionally come back to this site to see if things have changed. It appears that they have. Two questions...is prime rib back on the menu? Is lobster a surcharge? Are chair hogs still and issue or is Celebrity doing anything about them? We enjoyed the entertainment on Celebrity and miss that on other ships. We would love to go back if things are better...especially the menus.
We sailed a couple of weeks ago. Prime rib was on the menu. They've never charged for lobster, just for a second lobster. I don't care for lobster, so I order one in addition to my dinner so my husband can have a second one.

We were on the Millennium 10 days ago and the food was greatly improved. The wine choices were good, including Decoy.

Selection of movies and shows are the same for all classes on the ship. On newer ships they have a menu item to be able to stream from your PC or Phone but is a bit choppy.
That's not necessarily true. We were on the Infinity last October and the TV/movie system was horrible. Infinity wasn't "Revolutionized" and the system was the old one. We were in our cabin for 5 days (covid) and the only option was to connect my tablet and watch what I had downloaded.

You have 30 days I believe from the time you book them to transfer to your TA
Yeah, it's too late
-
I asked this question 3 years ago and never got an answer to the question. The thread quickly got sidetracked to a discussion about the value of having a TA.
Are "Elite Vacation Consultants" permanently assigned? I still don't like my Consultant and now when I call the cruise line about anything (including booking excursions) they transfer me to the consultant. I have 2 Oceania cruises booked and I'm sure it's too late to transfer them to a TA, assuming I could find one.

thanks - well I think it's thanks.
None of the posts refer to "intranet" only "internet". But does that mean that what I said was correct? I do hope so.
You're correct. The problem is that no most people wifi means internet.

Sorry you have lost me.
What connection to the ships WIFI is free? There is always a charge.
Or are you saying that we can connect to the ship's system but that the ship's system can't connect to the outside world?
There are actually talking about intranet vs internet. You can almost always connect to the intranet, but not always the internet

I'm curious what kind of service I'll be getting on the Millie around Japan....
We're just off the Millie. Around Japan, the service was pretty good. Around Hong Kong and Taipei, not so good.

I just paid $32 to upgrade one person to Premium Wifi for an 11 day cruise. You have to watch for sales.

Very odd that the same excursions aren't available to you. Good luck!
I'm sure it's because they changed the first port from Bar Harbor to Newport.
Daniel Boulud dinner on Millennium - does it usually sell out before the cruise starts? (January 2025 Bali)

That's what we've done the last 2 times we went. It worked well.
