  1. We are booked on a Nautica cruise to Bermuda on Sept. 18. We booked the cruise in Aug. 2023 and in Oct. 2023 we were notified that the  first port was being changed to Newport, RI. Newport was the first port when we booked so there really wasn't a change. That should have been my first clue that it was going to be a problem.

Since we booked, I have never had access to the excursions for Newport. The port has been greyed out in the planner with no access to that port. When I check while logged out, I can see several different excursions but I can't book them. The excursions in the other ports are different depending on whether I'm logged in or not.

I have reported this problem in emails and phone calls to customer service. I'm always told that it will be fixed in "a few weeks" and I can always call and book with Oceania. I have contacted my Elite Vacation Consultant (Oceania rep) several times and I'm always told "a few weeks".

Today I called to check on the price of a Newport excursion and book one but the Oceania rep can't book it because it's not linked to the sailing. He says to check back in "a few weeks"

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can resolve this? I have $600 excursion credit that has no value if I can't book an excursion.

Dumb question...we will be on the Millennium in 3 weeks. Is the fridge available to put our own stuff in or is it taken up by mini-bar items? If it contains mini-bar items can we request that those items be removed?

We used to ask for them to empty it and they did. We found we didn't use it so we don't anymore.

Sailing Transatlantic soon, wondering what the room amenities  are for a basic Oceanview cabin nowadays.

    - What are the bathroom amenities,

    - is water & ice provided,

    - is room serviced twice daily,

    - is there a fridge?

Other amenities that I don't know about 😃

    Thanks

We were on the Millennium last week. I don't know what the bathroom amenities were, they don't really say.

The rooms was serviced daily even though we signed up for the "green" option.

We asked our room attendant for a pitcher of ice and water early in the cruise and he refilled it twice a day, every day.

There is the mini-bar fridge but we don't touch it.

Hmmm, I usually get the PUP emails the second day.  Never got it this time.  And for that matter, I haven't received a marketing email in about a week.

Maybe I'll resubsrcibe.  And thanks for the link.  I watched the video.  Learned almost nothing.

Would you please re-share the link. I missed it.

There seems to be a block. I continue to receive the regular Celebrity mailings but the Captains Club emails won't revive no matter what I try. The call centers people just give BS that they fixed it but nothing comes. In a couple of months  I don't know what their criteria is for  blocking the Captain Club and PUP emails is. It could be on purpose or bad programing. Probably bad IT but anythings possible.

Same here. I get 2 or 3 ad emails a day but no PUP or Captains Club

I had to re-read the article to figure out "who" is saying "my advocacy team almost never hears from Celebrity customers".  OK - so what Celebrity customer would actually contact Christoper Elliott if they had an issue 🤣.  It says he has a customer advocacy group.  His group is not who anyone contacts.  And where / when do you get a welcome onboard drink and a gift basket?  And what is a virtual reality excursion?  This guy is living in la virtual reality.

The author's name was a the top of the article.

I've contacted Chris about a number of issues. He's been very helpful.

We like X but never heard of the author..sorry! Were the results paid ads?

Obviously  impressed  by technology some of which dors not work well like the app  and  def out of touch..

    was there a  poll?

The writer is Chris Elliott, a well-know travel ombudsman and consumer advocate. I'm surprised he got it so wrong.

Celebrity is going to allow children under 16 into adult pool areas on select cruises. I’m not in favor of this, parents don’t watch their children closely enough. Having an adult pool area is a good thing. Since the new president came over from RCCL it seems that Celebrity has slid with some of the changes. She seems to be trying to turn Celebrity into a slightly elevated version of RCCL. The standards before were much higher. 😢😡

They have allowed this since well before the new president. It's limited hours and usually only in inclement weather.

yes you are right there are 4 tours, with no prices.

hope to be able to walk about...as of now, it is still not ready for Visitors.

we have a whale watch tour from Victoria, maybe it would be better from Klawock, if they get it organized in time.

We are on the sept 14 sailing.

Yep, no prices unless you're logged in. Our Bermuda cruise is Sept. 18th. The excursions available for all the ports are different when I'm logged in and not logged it. I asked on social media if anyone know the price of the Newport excursion I'm interested in but got no reply. I hate to call just to ask the price, but if that's what I have to do, I guess I will.

I stopped receiving Captains Club email when you did. I do still get two regular Celebrity marketing emails every day. I am not optimistic because about 6 years ago I stopped receiving any communications from Royal Caribbean. I talked them a bunch of times and there were multiple promises that it was fixed. Multiple excuses. Still don’t get any communications from them. I don’t care anymore about Royal because I am not much interested now in Royal. I would like to get the Captains Club emails. I would rather get them than the two marketing ones that come every day.

    Exactly our situation!

We are off to Alaska again in September. Vancouver to LA.

O just cancelled a port and substituted Klawock, Alaska for it.

NO tours are available in this port.

Anyone been here? Anyone ever hear of it?

    Nope not a joke.

I have sort of the same problem on my Sept. cruise. They substituted a port and the new port doesn't have any excursions. Except it really does. Look up your cruise on Oceania's website without logging in. Look under excursions and choose Klawock as the port. There are 4 excursions and you'll have to call to book them.

Like many others I stopped receiving Power Up and Move-Up communications approximately 2 months ago.

Today I contacted Celebrity via X (Formerly Twitter).   They looked into may account and indicated I had changed my settings (which I had not done).

"Thank you! Upon reviewing your account we see you had turned off the notification for you not to receive our emails. We have now activated it back and you will now receive the move-up emails and Power Up Points activities when available."

They told me the same when I emailed them. They were mistaken

  13. We didn't get the survey or the webinar link. We're Elite Plus and used to get the PUP emails but they stopped about 6 months ago.

We're about 2000 points from Zenith so we really don't need the points but I still go for them when you guys are  kind enough to post links.

Just call their main number at this point and explain the, situation. We have found that the reps typically have access to excursions which is more up to date. You could then also request they send you the pdf version for excursions if you have not received. We never book excursions via our account, we always call as well documented issues with trying via their system. Always been quite easy with a phone call, even if you have a TA.

I got the pdf when I made the final payment last week. It has the wrong port for our first stop (Camden, Maine instead of Newport, Rhode Island).

I called the main number and she said it looks fine to her. She suggested I look at the excursion when I'm not logged in and call to make the reservation.

Which cruise are you on? All the ones out of NY for September going to Bermuda seem to have 7 excursions listed and priced for Newport.  The two out of Boston have many more excursions listed, but not yet priced. Have you called Oceania to check?

We're on the Sept 18th cruise out of Boston. I log in every day to check and it's as I said. After your comment, I looked without logging in and I see what you see. So the excursion are only showing when I'm not logged in. I tried in several browsers and it's on their end.

Is there a particular number I should call?

I think the email was sent to Elite and above status members.  I sent the same question I asked for a previous webinar, which was never addressed:  bring back the welcome glass of bubbly when we board!

Elite Plus and we didn't get it.

  17. I'm finding the excursions on our next cruise very frustrating. Our September 2024 Bermuda cruise is supposed to visit Newport, Rhode Island and 2 ports in Bermuda. There are no excursion listed for Newport and very few in Bermuda. The only excursion that includes snorkeling is listed but can't be booked. I'm not sure if the $600 Shore Excursion Credit has any value if there's nothing worth booking.
