I like those single malts too :D
Hear, hear! :D ;)
-
In many cases, in my experience ;)
Indeed. :p

I agree, the flavour of much of what was offered didn't live up to the appearance. Except the crepes Suzette. Those were amazing :D
I think it was an enormous waste of valuable/limited resources. I can see the point in discontinuing the dessert extravaganza.
Agreed, beauty is only skin deep in this case...

Isn't fish served to passengers on cruise ships mostly all frozen?
It is all (unless previously frozen) "Flash Frozen" (this can be done onboard with fresh caught) and held for a minimum of 72 hours to kill parasites prior to cooking/serving.

Am I missing something? After reading all the descriptions of the amenities for all of the cabin categories I see no listings for refrigs in any of the cabins. Or are they described differently and I don't recognize them? Do you think they have left out refrigs in the cabins?
The descriptions for the Vista Suite and above list a "No-Host" mini-bar.

My girlfriend was quick to notice that there is no dressing room in the Neptune suite . Looks like the toilet and another sink are where the dressing room should be ?
I think they intended the area circled in red to serve that purpose as your SO could dress in there (with direct access to the hall closets) while you bathe in the main part of the bathroom.

It's for the 7 day
Most likely your sea days (as the venerable POA1 has already pointed out :D ) on the 25th and 28th, although of course there will also be the Thanksgiving dinner on the 27th.

7 or 14 day cruise?
-
Yes, Yes..... I so agree.
We love the "S" class ships and have been great fans of Maasdam since we attended her Inaugural visit in Boston fresh from Fincantieri. We loved that ship immediately.
We sailed Statendam early her Inaugural Season doing Panama Canal. I still have wonderful memories of that cruise.
It is sad for us long time "S" Class ship fans to see them leaving the fleet. So many wonderful cruises on all of them.
The Statendam was our first HAL ship and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

(Unless, maybe, they wanted to do Stairway to Heaven? :D)
Nice! :D ;)

Don't we already have enough "neigh" sayers aboard?? :D  :p

Here's hoping we all are blessed with upgrades :-) I noticed on the HAL site the cabin prices are less money than we booked our cabin for. I am thrilled to just get on the ship.
Don't know how you booked, but it would not hurt to ask your TA/PCC if you can receive OBC/FCC/upgrade due to the pricing change. Worst they can do is say no :D.

Years ago we were on QM2 in Saint John, New Brunswick, with a late departure. We had dinner in the MDR and our view was the dock. As the tide rose (and they have huge tide differences there) and dinner dragged on, we could see the difference! We started looking straight at the side of the dock but by the end of dinner we were looking out over the dock. Was quite cool. :)
That would be cool :D

That's some Dam Tootin' !:D
-
That must be an interesting sensation: sitting at the window in the MDR and you are in the "front" of the ship!
Not a bad spot for sail away after all :D especially if you have a window table.

Just got back, still waiting to sail?
-
We will be on the New Year's sailing from Ft. Lauderdale on the Eurodam. Anyone know what nights will be formal? Thanks.
How many days is your cruise? 7 or 14?
-
Those toots remind me of close encounters :D
-
The moisture made it look like regal had flashing Christmas lights behind the bow on the FL cam
-
There's a toot.

Not the most pleasent day for leaving on a cruise.:(
Still better than watching it from the shore. :p
