  1. The activation fee for back to back is dependent on how it's booked. If you book two separate segments then you will pay the $15 for each segment. If you book it as a logical cruise, Which means two separate cruises but you booked it as one long cruise then you only have to pay the $15 activation fee wants
  2. I get off the Discovery the day the rollout begins. But I do plan on asking when I go to Alfredo's / Gigi's If they already have the new menus printed so I could just look at it. I'll be doing my best to do a live blog for the two weeks I'm on board. So if I post it almost likely be there.
  3. Exactly! Like I said for 10 extra seconds for them to go get your medallion is not going to ruin your life. Haha. I look at it being pre-medalllion days when used to check in and they would have to go get your cruise cards. I used to work at Port Everglades during my college years and helped him with the check in processes It really is not a difficult task to do to go collect ones cabin key or in this case medallion.
  4. Correct! That comment I wrote even before the webinar had even started but thank you.
  5. That's actually the original post I was replying back to. I wasn't kidding You go to restaurants on land sometimes and they do charge you a fee if you are sharing a meal.
  6. If only the princess sales team could just use us here on cruise critic as their focus group, and hear us out on our genuine thoughts. I mean feedback is key isn't it? Do you think that they really listen to those surveys that we actually fill out? I know I put a lot of thought and time into those. No worries I know it will never happen, as they really don't care what the people want nor what their thoughts are. 😂
  7. Why did my first cruise out of Southampton a few weeks ago and I will say that was such a breeze of a check-in even with having to pick up a medallion at the port. Especially considering the mass majority we're all picking up medallions at the port.
  8. I'm going with a high hopes if it's an elite benefit service such as the afternoon tea that we do have to call RS to place an order for the minimum of a day in advance they should not charge us $5. Only time will tell once this all gets implemented with a true answer will be.
  9. Does bring up the next question is will there be a fee if you decide to share one of those $15 meals at Alfredo / Gigi's?
  10. Take your ice bucket down to a bar and ask him to fill it up. I actually always bring a old school ice bag one of those medicine bags. I go down to the bars all the time to get it filled up no questions asked.
  11. We are thinking that it should not cause an additional fee if it's for an elite setup. Some people have stated that as of late they've been asking their cabin steward to do the switch out instead of as RS has been so backed up anyways. I'm going to test out the cabin steward theory this Sunday. If it is true I will be very happy because then I'll get my order rather quick instead of waiting late in the evening or the next day in most cases
  12. From the sounds of the comments from that webinar though most of those travel agents were not thrilled and said it's way too much to explain all the different things you get and don't get any longer. That seemed to be the consensus from what I was reading.
  13. I especially wish that the sales team also looks at there are many people including myself who travel solo and pay the double occupancy fee to start off with. So when they're not so cute webinar calling out standard fare people for not looking a package was disgusting. I enjoy cruising and will continue to cruise but I cruise because for me, myself, personally I enjoyed the relaxation piece the most . I also enjoy meeting new people from all over, going to shows and activities (or just having that option if I choose to participate or not), listening to live music, and eating some good food. I most certainly don't need to drink to have a good time, besides the fact I simply just don't drink.
  14. I'm the same exact way on everything you have mentioned, except different swap out orders for my mini bar. I'm like a cheap date and only ask for bottled water.
  15. For some people the amount of sea days makes a world of a difference apparently when it comes to deciding the package or which package is the way to go. I've always read that more people tend to drink when they're doing a Caribbean ceiling versus let's say a European sailing.
  16. My thought process for the introduction of these changes more specifically in regards to upcharges of casual dining is to pave the way of what possibly could be coming when the sun princess comes out. Meaning there might be new casual dining options onboard this this new class of ships.
  17. I feel very doubtful that that money will be going to that crew appreciation pull unfortunately. Which is so sad.
  18. So if you know you plan on making three or more room service orders then it's best for you to activate the app for 15 bucks.
  19. Just curious, has anyone ever asked a crew member what the percentage of people on board who book with premiere? I'd be very curious to know if it's a decent amount or not who opt for that package.
  20. They will get you one way or another. So no matter how you decide to what are your room service be prepared for the $5 fee if you are standard.
  21. And yet they don't mention about room service through the TV inquiring that $5 fee. Honestly I feel real bad what's to come get services way with all these changes. I can only imagine the amount of people who will be arguing with them.
