  1. I've booked four tours with Italy tour sharing for our upcoming cruises. Their tours are a bit different than the generic ones I've seen with other companies and they are very easy to work with

  2. On the Journey in March, announcements were made that you could sign up at guest relations for tours of the galley, and I think of the bridge too, on several days during the cruise. We didn't do them but it sounded like they were complimentary

  3. Taxis in Nice are very expensive so an Uber may be an option. On a positive note (assuming we are embarking in Nice) the station is not far from the port.

I looked up a taxi company on line and yes, very expensive!! I read about the tram and I guess it goes from the train station to the top of the port; is it walkable from Garibaldi stop to the pier?

  4. Azamara is always closed on Sunday, and after noon or so ET on Saturday; not all wholesale (or retail for that matter) travel companies are open 24/7. I know of several land based wholesale companies that are closed Sundays

  5. I'm trying to figure our where the Quest will be docking for our May and June cruises out of Nice; I thought it was supposed to be at the Nice port, but what I've seen on a couple cruise tracking websites it's Villefranche. I need to find a transfer from Gare Nice ville to the ship for 6 people...

  6. Hi. We haven't done tour sharing before, but are considering it now with italytoursharing.com. My concern is, what happens if you join a tour group set up for 8, but it either doesn't get filled or people back out. Is the final price per person determined by how many show up on the day? If a family or group of 4 cancel, the costs could go up dramatically.

Your tour will happen without it being filled up to 8; you will just pay for the number of people that do go

  7. I would agree, but only if we know if the staff member took away the drinks away from everyone in that area, not just the OP.

It may well be that the other guests with drinks weren't in the hot tub, just sitting at the edge of the pool. Drinks near the pool (in plastic not glass) I don't believe are a problem...

  8. This may be a case where a TA who does a lot of business with Azamara can help you -- they can get rules "bent" because of their volume of bookings.

It may also have to do with who your TA speaks to; they aren't consistent

  9. we'll be in Nice for turn-around day; we're in port 6am-8pm. We'd like to do a tour that day but have no idea when we need to be back on the ship. Any ideas/suggestions? I assume we'll need to be back for the lifeboat drill

  10. It depends on what the new promotion is, and whether you are staying in the same category or upgrading to a higher category stateroom. If the promotion states it's for new bookings only you would have to cancel and be charged and then rebook at the new rate.

  11. If you booked from the USA and haven't made your final payment you may be able to save money by cancelling ( losing your deposit) and re-booking. As the British deposit is higher it's rarely worth it for us.

You won't lose your entire deposit if you cancel and rebook, just 50.00 pp up to 121 days out, which is up to final payment
