Our friends/neighbors who are joining us for this cruise decided to come along specifically because of Carcassonne and were so disappointed to see that it's impossible to see from Port Vendres; they have decided to travel early and spend a couple days there precruise

It would have been nice if for no other reason than to inject some money into an area that has been so negatively affected; I am looking forward to cruising the Marlborough Sounds though.

Kaikoura has been dropped from our itinerary...

The 3 meal package is good value at $70. Despite what is says you can have all 3 meals in Prime C or Aqualina, you don't have to mix them up.

I believe the current price for the Chef's table is 95.00 pp and the specialty restaurants 30.00 pp. Last time we were on, dinner was discounted the first night of the cruise

I believe that it is allowed, you would need to inform Azamara of your plans ahead of time.

Just had a friend who works on the Journey check, and we do move to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at 4pm on the 21st.

I have looked into a private transfer and the time we would be picked up at the ship for a 10:15am flight is 6:45, arriving at 8:15 to the airport.

I guess we'll all probably have a very long travel day ahead of us!

I wonder if it would be wise to stay at a hotel near the airport on the 21st...

What time do you recommend?

Well Don, I appreciate your input, not so much your attitude. Sometimes information from someone who has just recently done it is better than a google search with old information. Google is great for some things, not everything.

BTW, I did check google, the airlines guidelines and the airports suggested times before I posted.

We'll be overnight in Sydney with our ship docking at White Bay (?) March 21st; we have a 10:15 flight out on the 22nd. You think this will be an issue?

It should be; we have friends that are on a b2b2b with us and I had no problem changing one of their cruises to a better promotion fare. They did have to pay the cancel fee but way worth it
