LIVE Allure of the Seas 5/20-5/24

Is this the last day for the school year? How come you finish up so early? Do they go back before September? Our schools go right through to the end of June - I wish we were done now, as I could definitely fit in another vacation if that were the case... -

Counting on you to give me the low down on RC - haven't sailed them since 2008 (wasn't overly impressed then) but, like you, my kids are drawn to those mammoth ships and all their bells and whistles. Trying out Harmony at the end of August and feel like a newbie again! -
I was pleasantly surprised at the pricing (I wasn't looking for mermaiden voyages). I managed to grab the Panama Canal and the California to Vancouver at acceptable prices - both in central sea terrace. I often get initial sticker shock when I see the price, but then I remember that pretty much all the "extras" are included in that price (other than alcohol, of course). Compared to other lines that you need to add this in after the fact, I would say Virgin aren't too far off. I'm still debating the NY sailings, but I already have most of 2025 booked...

Have you done Treadwell Mine in Juneau? The kids and I go everytime we are there. It's easy to get to by public bus, or a quick cab ride over the bridge to the opposite side of town. It has some nice walking trails and things to see, as well as a beach and stunning views of the ships from the opposite side of the island! You forgot: 15. Treat dad to a luxurious heated lounger in the thermal suite and delight in his joy at how comfortable they are. ps I have a secret. But I can’t tell you. All will be revealed in due course (I hope. I’ve lost all faith in relying on people to do their job this week so who knows) Shhhhhh

I feel like VV could really capitalise on West Coast Summer sailings by NOT offering Alaska - it would be so great to have options for Hawaii and Coastals that are not just beginning and end of season repositioning cruises....

Same - I'm not convinced Alaska is the right itinerary for Virgin but Hawaii, Pacific Coast, and Mexico would be awesome!

I saw that this morning and legit cannot contain my excitement. If VV come to Westcoast I will be sailing constantly. Lol.
