  1. I was pleasantly surprised at the pricing (I wasn't looking for mermaiden voyages). I managed to grab the Panama Canal and the California to Vancouver at acceptable prices - both in central sea terrace. I often get initial sticker shock when I see the price, but then I remember that pretty much all the "extras" are included in that price (other than alcohol, of course). Compared to other lines that you need to add this in after the fact, I would say Virgin aren't too far off. I'm still debating the NY sailings, but I already have most of 2025 booked...
  2. All this talk of Skechers and hey dudes…I think dad would look awesome in a pair of crocs! With socks of course…
  3. I was excited to try the croissant Mai tai cocktail on the bar crawl on Bliss. Sadly, it made me almost vomit. Or maybe that was just because I was already 5 hours into the bar crawl…what did you think of that one?
  4. We need to go for drinks when you're in my hood!!! I bet we can rope in @YVRteacher too - she is always up for drinks! We can initiate her into the Tribe!
  5. I think I would like to sign up for the quality control department. I'm willing to take one for the team and sample all the beer to be sure they pass the taste test. You're welcome...
  6. I trust by now that dad’s truffles are securely locked away in the safe…
  7. Interrupting this live to say I miss our daily text convos so I’m going to continue you them on what’s app so you have all my daily drama to read whenever you have free wifi! As you were…
  8. Have you done Treadwell Mine in Juneau? The kids and I go everytime we are there. It's easy to get to by public bus, or a quick cab ride over the bridge to the opposite side of town. It has some nice walking trails and things to see, as well as a beach and stunning views of the ships from the opposite side of the island! 9. I need to know some very important information: 1. How many pillows a) started on dad's bed and b) remain on dad's bed? 2. How many mistakes are in today's Freestyle Daily? 3. How much do you DESERVE this break? (Spoiler: I already know the answer to this one)
  10. Last time we were in Ketchikan we discovered a new gin distillery which was very cool! They have free samples, great cocktails, and you can see the huge distillery operation they have going on! www.Unchartedak.com
  11. This is what I will be doing when I finally find my old, rich guy. Sadly, I currently keep winding up with poor, young dudes....#fail
  12. You forgot: 15. Treat dad to a luxurious heated lounger in the thermal suite and delight in his joy at how comfortable they are. ps I have a secret. But I can’t tell you. All will be revealed in due course (I hope. I’ve lost all faith in relying on people to do their job this week so who knows) Shhhhhh
  13. I feel like VV could really capitalise on West Coast Summer sailings by NOT offering Alaska - it would be so great to have options for Hawaii and Coastals that are not just beginning and end of season repositioning cruises....
  14. Same - I'm not convinced Alaska is the right itinerary for Virgin but Hawaii, Pacific Coast, and Mexico would be awesome!
  15. I saw that this morning and legit cannot contain my excitement. If VV come to Westcoast I will be sailing constantly. Lol.
  16. I have never related more to anything in my life. I swear dad and I are twinsies. I, too, was raised in that healthy British mindset of having to clear your plate (I'm sure you're noticed when we've brunched). I also have no issue applying that philosophy to a large beer...🤣
  17. Am I ever ready for this! Can't wait for dad to get away from it all...I feel him! Take the 12 luggage tags and covertly put them on other people's bags - let's see what you end up with! As an aside, in my mind (which isn't 100% sharp right now) you were leaving tomorrow. That's not even possible, since I know you are coming to Carmen next week...but...that's my mind!
  18. We also use Highroller By Shugg - never had any issues with them and have them booked for our August sailing!
