  1. I just thought I was stressed when I booked this dream vacay back in January for May 6. After two flight cancellations due to non payment in the last TWO weeks, I now have ticketed flight confirmation to Barcelona on May 4. Too bad I’m now completely gray haired with the exception of the bald spots! 🤣 Fortunately, I now only need to worry about the $999,999.00 cost of a couple of my excursions leaving a huge balance owing with the threat of “automatic cancellation if not paid”!! (Paid in full 01/30/23). Oh, and my prepaid transfer from BCN to cruise ship is gone now too. I don’t have the time or inclination to address these issues at this time. I will just take my receipts and hope for the best.

Dear Host, I’m just curious, how many days out from disembarkation on your Scenic cruise were you when you found out your air flights (you arranged and paid for through them) had been cancelled due to non payment?? What about the second time? Were both instances less than 30 days from your cruise?? Did you think the problem had been solved after your first 5-1/2 hr hold to talk to agent and the new confirmation number you got 2 days later?? ————————————-OR————————————— Were you SHOCKED one week later to discover it happened again?? Same reason, non payment? I only ask as there seem to be several of the mindset that “some” of us are unnecessarily bashing the Azamara brand. Personally, I believe it’s a heck of a lot easier to be alturistic when it’s not YOUR long awaited vacation or hard earned $$$ on the line.
  3. I’m thinking about booking a backup flight that is fully refundable or at least vouchered for full value. However, since my inbound flights have been cancelled twice due to nonpayment and learning of so many similar situations, I’m starting to get a very uneasy feeling and wondering if Azamara is about to go “belly up”. I’m supposed to fly on May 4 for my May 6 cruise….why would they fail to pay yet again after reinstating flight once already??
  4. Sorry for the confusion. Azamara did not pay the ticket fare twice, that’s why both reservations were cancelled. I had booked and paid separately for my desired seats, when flights were cancelled so were the seats and the airline refunded the seats only.
  5. My flights have been cancelled again due to NON PAYMENT from Azamara, I paid in full 01/30/23. So, once again I’m on terminal hold with customer service and once again, the seats I booked and paid for have been cancelled and refunded. IF I’m successful at getting the flights reinstated I probably won’t get the seats I wanted. Like so many of you, this is not the only screwed up thing on my reservation. Shuttle I paid for in BCN has disappeared, they show I owe a balance which I do not and when I was finally able to see my reservation online and tried to cancel an excursion for our 2nd day it didn’t work. Oh, and at one point they showed close to accurate loyalty points now they are back to zero…far from the Discoverer Plus level I have earned. I’ve been on over 30 cruises in the last 10 years. Never have I ever experienced such ineptness and poor customer service. It makes me under if Azamara is going “belly up”!?!
  6. I’m also on the May 6 cruise from Barcelona….at least I’m supposed to be. My Choice Air reservations were also cancelled due to “non payment” on Azamara’s part…I paid in full on 01/30/23. My transfer from BCN to the port no longer appears even though it was paid in full also. My excursions are incorrect & they show I owe a balance, which I do not. They no longer show my Discoverer Plus status…they now show 0 points. I spent over 5 hours on hold on Monday and was eventually assured the “help tickets” they were completing on my behalf would solve my problems, “hopefully” within 48 hours. They did reinstate my inbound flights however at least one leg has still not been paid for. I’ve also submitted two additional help tickets but no results! If in fact we are all able to achieve our flights and actually make it onboard can you even imagine what the que will be like at customer service?? If Azamara is monitoring this I hope they are planning something to compensate those of us affected. Upgrade to ultimate drink package could be a start…lol. At the very least, they need a plan to deal with the surge of customer issues with all of the above! I’m beyond frustrated and unless things turn around soon this is bound to affect their bottom line.
  7. I wonder if sharing our experiences on social media #Azamara would help any? I have friends that say “yes” but I’ve never tried it?
  8. Just found out, purely accidental, that my May 4 flight with United to Barcelona was cancelled on 04/05 due to non payment!! I paid in full on 01/30/23! Waited on hold for FIVE HOURS (Azamara) only to be told “everything looks good on our end, must be a ‘United’ problem!! Contacted ChoiceAir only to be told they can’t help me as Azamara has been independent since 03/16/23. Never mind that I paid RCCL Choice Air on 01/30/23. Beyond frustrated!!!
