Dont know much about scooters but those look an awful like baby carriages to me?
So what? People get the idea, no conveyances left overnight in the passageways.

Your boarding passes will be marked Priority and theirs will not.

Did you drive over the bridge and see the home of the Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies?

If Panorama got in later than usual this morning we did not notice it - we were walking onto the ship at 11 am like usual. It was an incredibly quick/easy embarkation but they did mention we have an incredibly full ship (just under 5,000) for this 4th of July cruise.
Your cruise director said you'd arrive on time because you didn't port in Cabo due to the hurricane situation. I'm surprised you weren't there by 5am 🙂

I don't understand.
I think it's a reference to a TV ad campaign where people were mistaken for being in a profession who were not but they " did stay in a Holiday Inn last night."

Not surprised, but this looks really cool. I've always wondered why they don't do golf off of the ship with those bio-degradable fish food golf balls. I'm sure they don't want people thinking they can just throw anything overboard, but I love the creativity of the skeet style activities.
I first used a fantail as a driving range on Cunard's QE2 when standard golf balls were used. By the late '80s over the side driving was discontinued and the on board golf pro had us use a driving range net to work on our swing.
The range net is something that could be brought back to add more fun to Carnival but I doubt there would be a golf pro there. Good times.

Excuse me, but I really need you to expand on this- I need details- and I also might need Carnival to bring this back.
The shotguns were locked away in the early '90s and never returned. I seriously doubt the days of firing live ammunition from a ship will ever return. It makes for a great memory however.

We still have fun on our Carnival cruises after the 32 years we have sailed with them. Are there some fun activities we miss? Sure. I miss para-mutual betting and the excitement of the poolside horse races and skeet shooting from the fantail. Today there are two comedy acts a night which is a fun tradeoff. With Carnival our experience has been when one fun activity is discontinued something fun takes its place.

Do you know the Warwick NYC has a sister property in Dallas? Same owner who lives in Paris but born in Hong Kong. The Dallas property is the second to the last he purchased in the U.S. with Chicago being the last. Seattle opened in 1981. https://www.warwickhotels.com/warwick-melrose-dallas/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=local&utm_campaign=seo

I had it on a Pride Journeys cruise a couple of years ago.
There have been few mentions of it in the past year. I'm afraid it's history. They may have introduced it too soon after the reopening of cruising. The concept is good and utilizes a venue dormant during the day. Hopefully the Steakhouse Brunch concept will return and enjoy success.

Those steakhouse brunches are AMAZING. It was one of the best meals I have ever had on a cruise ship.
In November I asked on the Magic if they offered the steakhouse brunch and was told no, that it was an experiment on certain ships that never took off. I wanted to go to it instead of the MDR brunch when the strip loin made its first appearance at brunch. I would have paid just to get the petite filet.

It used to be a flat iron steak. So isn't this a different one?
NO, this replaced the flat iron 4 years ago before the covid shutdown.

Someone has written in ink “1998?” above the Copyright date. Why would someone do that?
I have no idea. I was taught never to write on a library book and not to fold down the corner of a page but to use a bookmark.

I picked this book up at the library today, crazy timing!
I cherish my first edition copy that Mr. Lord signed for me. It was my favorite book in 7th grade. After Dr. Ballard discovered the wreck Walter Lord wrote a second updated version of the book based on evidence found by the dive team. It is called The Night Lives On and clears up many details e.g. Jack Thayer was correct when he said he saw the ship break apart in two just after the third funnel and the bow and stern went down separately.
Sadly, the tragedy continues to this day. Superstitions ran high among some of the survivors interviewed by Mr. Lord.

Kind of like service animals?
And pot smokers. Next there will be pot smokers whose service animal has to chew pot gummies for its medical conditions.

I question the legitimacy of the details of the conversation with the Carnival rep.
I agree, I half expected the OP to say they require dairy products to be from a particular dairy located on Long Island, New York. 😲
