We leave on the Oasis Aug 4th and we are combining many celebrations into one week. Wife's birthday, my birthday, our 41st anniversary and the 45th anniversary of our first cruise.

@dbancroft and anyone else who is interested, here are pics of the ultra-spacious ocean view with large balcony on Allure. It is a large cabin that would sleep up to six people. Lots of storage.
The bunk beds are inside that little doorway next to the couch, to the left of the bathroom.
Bunk “closet” with its own wardrobe.Balcony with lots of chairs
Andrew spends most of his time sitting in the window above the sofa.
Thank you for the pics. My grandson loved those port holes on disney so at least he would be happy with the room.

We are about to stay in an “ultra spacious ocean view with large balcony” on Allure tomorrow. I can share pics afterward if you like. I imagine it would be similar on Oasis.
Thanks would really appreciate it

We always have the same problem on Oasis class we are a family of 7 so we also have 2 cabins with one cabin in between. The solution we like is to book 2 connecting Junior suites when prices allow.

@bnurick I know disney cc is not viewed much but I am enjoying the pictures. Would love to see some pics of the ship.

Our city of Laurel has a fireworks show on the Saturday closest to the 4th. We were able to watch some of the higher ones from our bedroom window. Even with the rain they were still able to get them off. It was a little crowded with 3 of us watching but worth it.

Great review! My family and I were on this cruise as well. I made it to the running track 3x (a record for me on a cruise). I'll put some quick thoughts here.
For those who were interested earlier in the thread, our embarkation check-in time was 10:30. We arrived to the port at 10am. After parking the car, we were on the ship about 15 min after getting in line for security.
The ship felt crowded the first day or so (maybe my impression was formed before the staterooms were ready), but after that we didn't have a problem getting seats at the pool or having to wait in lines for food.
We pre-purchased $100 in arcade credits (I thought my kids would visit it often). We still hadn't made it to the arcade until day 7. We visited and it was in rough shape - about 30% of the games were not working. After using $49 in credits, my card stopped working. I used the arcade phone to call guest services who did not know the problem and said they were sending a technician. No one showed up after 25min of waiting, so I figured I'd stop by guest services on the way to my room. Guest services made some calls and offered to refund my pre-paid arcade credits. I accepted as we didn't want to play anything else with so many games broken. Guest services made another call and found that there is a $50 max spend in the arcade daily - they offered to override it but I declined. They said I would have to pay for any credits used ($49). I asked if I would still get the 20% discount I had by pre-paying, but they replied they "couldn't" do that. Lesson learned I guess on pre-paying for something before the cruise without seeing what state it was in first.
The food in the MDR and Windjammer was excellent - maybe the best I've had on a cruise. We did Giovanni's as well, and it was as great as I remembered. I prefer it over Jamie's on other ships.
It was weird there were no sides (caprese salad, etc) at Sorrento's - is that an Oasis thing?
Overall we had a great time and realized we really enjoy the Oasis. My wife and I were on the Harmony back in August, and while it was a great cruise as well, we did miss the Solarium pool.
The arcades on all of our last 6 cruises have been terrible. You would think this would be easy money but half of the machines are always out of order or like you said no one shows up to help.

I searched all over Colon and Cartagena for one. What amazing luck! Probably the only tail I'm going get any time soon.
Off to the casino given how lucky today is!
Hopefully you wore the earrings...lol

Tomorrow is the third anniversary of this thread as you posted a few days ago.Since it is not likely that CC will pipe in music my suggestion is that at a designated time taking in consideration the time difference from those not living in the US we pour a drink of our favorite beverage and do a Toast to Dani for starting this great tread .
Or all clean our refrigerators

Absolutely. Just hang around at the Fringes of the crowd. Fireworks don’t start until after the show.
@sansterre we waited outside on deck 4 and watched the fireworks from there. Hardly anyone there and very nice watching in peace.

@Lionesss is the machine you are having luck at near the cashiers window in the no smoking section or is it on the other side of the casino. Would like to try my luck in August.

I never eat chips at home, but love Pringles for the ship. I always look for unique flavors in other countries. 😉
That funny we do the same...They had paprika flavor at Cozumel. Did not have the nerve to buy tho.
