Is $125 a good price for the beach club?
Keep checking. It's $86.99 now for our May Icon but we actually got it for $75 last week.

After not being able to log in for a couple of days, I reluctantly changed my password. That did the trick and I am now back in my account. I've had the same password forever, so it was probably time to change it anyway!
If you have a Celebrity account the change on Royal also changes the password on Celebrity.

Thanks. This was a good review. We're on her in May. Not a pool or sun worshiper anymore so our balcony will suffice. I'm looking forward to the expanded venues.

It’s only actually nice if they clean your room. We were on Infinity in February for an Antarctica cruise and had to complain about our room not being cleaned(from the last occupants) and it didn’t happen until 3:30. We honestly had the worst service we have ever had on a cruise and we were so disappointed. No one cared at all.
That would be disappointing on any ship and line but I'm not sure what that has to do with dropping off your carry-ons early.

Thank you all. We’ve only been on Celebrity recently, and they didn’t close fire doors. We able to get our cards at 11:30 and drop our valuables, as our cabin was already cleaned. We’ll plan to carry our valuables around until 1-1:30. Happy future sailings!
One of the nice things about Celebrity embarkation.

You'll probably need all 4 days just to get familiar with the ship. She's a big one.

While the Captain has ultimate responsibility for the ship and the people, he doesn't have responsibility for this situation. Yes, he has responsibility for the safety of everyone onboard, but that doesn't apply to someone doing something they shouldn't be. If someone jumps, climbs on a railing or gets pushed, none of that is the Captain's responsibility.
I think @Boatdrill was suggesting maybe a little too much details coming from the Captain to the guests and not that he was anyway responsible. Having been a public information officer for my old job I see the point.

Indeed you will....good luck. Though usually by 7:30 things have eased a bit. It's 6:30-7:00 that is some of the worst back ups occur. Which is mostly first seating pax lingering over their meal.
If I remember correctly we were on the same Serenade cruise as you and MTD didn't open until 6:45. We only ate there one night...the last night. Did two specialties and the Jammer the rest of the week.

it wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t a floating war zone that you could be forgiven for thinking it is, reading a lot of these threads.

On Wonder, 2 weeks ago, we were required to use all of our BOGO on days 1 and 2. This week, on Grandeur, we were able to pay for our BOGO on day 1 and use the second half of each of our BOGO later in the week. It's really just a coin toss.
We had the same experience on Harmony a few years ago. When my wife pointed out we just did it on our last cruise the maitre d' at Giovanni's literally said, "We don't do that on this ship."

This thread has turned out funny, all these $&#@! Agencies, especially ***** and ####### but in particular @@@@@@@ !
personally I’d like to find a good TA who will get back to me within a day, preferably same day. I had one recommended by a fellow CCer, voice message, 2 emails spoon feeding the TA my reservation and nada. Then contacted a TA very active on YouTube, again spoon feeding all details of reservation absent credit card info, 2 days later an email saying the person contacted won’t be responding but one of her associates would, then 2 more days later the 2nd person finally responded asking what cruise was I interested in (ummmm how bout it was detailed in my email and your web form?) . Trying out an impersonal on line agency owner by on of the weekly news magazines, we’ll see….
it is kind of frustrating that I’m basically handing someone a commission for a cruise I can book myself and they just aren’t timely or engaged. Although we’re both still employed in office, and don’t cruise every month, the annual commission would still be worthwhile.
🤷♂️🤔🤷♀️
My wife is going through the same frustration. It's possible she reached out to the same Youtube guy and got the same results. We've been doing on-board bookings and turning them over to an on-line agency just for the OBC. The communication hasn't been great so that's why she's been looking.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't the balconies get a little tighter the further forward?
-
Been sailing with Royal for over 25 years and never had a noisy cabin except for a forward outside porthole on Majesty. We were woken with every anchor drop. It probably won't be a problem but no guarantees.

The report I heard is it will be down for quite a while. We thought it was pretty cool up there but our time was delayed half the day because of a thunderstorm threat.

Suites are cheaper on the older ships. They would just charge more if they started adding sky class benefits to all ships. You get what you pay for and for some that is good because they don’t want or need internet for everyone in the suite.
No one would notice the difference if it was just WIFI. I always forget to buy it on the smaller ships until the last minute so it's mainly just a pain in the butt and I miss out on the sales.

Thank you for your information. In the Celebrity app it was accurate a year out.
My 5 night Summit in January is showing a special luncheon on day 7 in the app. Maybe you were looking at one of their year round itineraries?

I don't agree that Celebrity is targeting younger families with kids otherwise we'd see slides and flowriders. I'm in the camp where if you want less kids, sail during the school year or in the case of school vacations, sail more than 7 days.

They may have just ran out of aluminum bottles at the supply port and are now raiding the RCL stock until they can replenish.
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Common sense replies are unacceptable here on Cruise Critic. What were you thinking?

Yes, my wife has severe arthritis and we had to get servers with a towel to open them.
We had an LOL moment when I was struggling to open a can. The tiny girl bartender said, "Give me that," took the can and twisted it open. In her broken English adding, "Turn bottle not cap!" Life never stops giving lessons. 😁

I hate the aluminum cans. Between the wetness and my surgically reduced grip strength, I often can’t get then open
Don't feel bad. I have no surgically reduced grip and sometimes I struggled to open them.

Thank you everyone. Yes I'm going to get a certified copy of my birth certificate and bring it with my Passport and new driver's license I'm getting this October. I'm not chancing renewing my passport right now with the delays. God forbid my passport gets lost and then I'm really stuck out of luck! I'm a nervous traveler, so trying to avoid any unnecessary worries like this passport question.
Between Royal and Celebrity we did 3 cruises out of Florida within 6 months of our passports expiring. No one batted an eye.

Like in Haiti, what happens in the capital (very far removed from the cruise port) is very unlikely to affect cruising.
Information is the first line of defense in avoiding an unlikely scenario.
Thinking of trying Norwegian Haven suite...
in Royal Caribbean International

We've been trying to decide between Haven and Yacht Club by watching Youtube videos. As Royal regulars we've reached the point where we don't think Royal's suite experience is worth the price. We still sail suites on Celebrity.
