On Oasis 2 weeks ago we received a call and a letter in our stateroom to make a reservation by calling Chops. We stopped by instead of calling and made the reservation there.

I know this subject has been posted in the past but for whatever reason I could not find it. With that said we are considering booking a crown loft suite on deck 17 on the symphony of the seas. This will be during Easter week and it will overlook the basketball court. I'm curious as to your experiences if you stayed in this room on past cruises. Yes, I realize at times it may be noisy but I'm trying to assess how often, how loud etc. Granted we won't be on the balcony all day long. Your input would be appreciated.
Never thought it was too noisy but we're not people watchers so we didn't enjoy the view as much as the ocean facing.

I definitely agree with you! We sailed Oasis in May and yes, there were a lot of kids, but not to this extent! & they were overall pretty well behaved in May, this trip it was madness!
We sailed Anthem Jan 2020 and Jan 2022 with very few kids on board (like less than 20!), so we were expecting there to be more than we had experienced before, but not nearly as many as there were
We had another large group on board...literally.

Mine must have fixed itself. It was missing a couple of days ago and didn't have time to bother with it. Now it's back.

Royal hasn't carried Don Julio for a while and it's not listed as available on the package but they had plenty of Crown Royal on Oasis last week. In our experience not every bar is fully stocked on the first night so if you don't find something in one bar you may find it elsewhere. Usually the second or third night they're ready to rock.

In the OP's defense, there were the same complaints on Oasis that week. In all of our years cruising we've never seen that many kids on a ship. I wouldn't put the kid complaints on any one group because it was also a kids sail free cruise. We managed to stay above the fray being on Deck 17 in a suite but there was a lot of grumbling going on especially on that sailing's Facebook page. People felt they should have been told the Solarium Bistro would be closed. The one time time we went to the Jammer we watched a guy berate 2 white shirts about how crowded it was. At one point the Facebook admin shutdown complaints. We've sailed Oasis Class multiple times and had another great cruise but I might be hesitant to book it again for that week. Never thought to Google group cruises but I might start.

Saw several people on a similar thread saying expedited postal mail is faster than renewing it on-line. You can fill out the application here (Application) and then print it to mail. You must have Adobe Acrobat on your computer or other device.

On my Oasis December 4the sail the laundry benefits is in the letter. The wash & fold is a special promo and notice is in your cabin. If I recall, the special is all of the laundry you can fi in the laundry bag, but I laugh as the paper bag is a bit small for a lot of laundry.😆
To be fair you probably wouldn't want them to do much of your laundry beyond underwear and socks anyway.

Internet packages and beverage packages are completely separate. So yes.
I think he's referring to the discounted package deal.

The following is my experience and opinion. It's not intended to dissuade anyone for trying it:
BTW, I've been on several ships that have the Bionic bar. It's a great experience for about 5 minutes. I've never got a drink from one. Just watched it at work, those that did work at the time I was there.
Just like the Rising Tide except the Rising Tide lasts 7 minutes.

Planning hubby’s 60th for March and I’ve run out of things to do. We are taking 7 of our friends with us. Everything is planned including hotels and even our dinner reservation the night before the cruise. Car service (for 9!) to Port Everglades is booked. Specialty restaurant for his actual birthday reserved. All port events all planned.
I have even booked all our private tours for our June Baltic cruise. I’m going stir crazy with nothing cruise related to do!! I even started looking at private tours for our April 2024 cruise until I realized that’s absurd.
Cant check in for another week. How do I satisfy my cruise obsession?!? 😍🤪😚
Are you booked into 2025 yet?

Do they ever actually make anyone pay for the pool towels?
I'm sure there are some that don't bother to call.

Maybe I'm wrong but it seems Jazz on 4 would be a smaller venue. It will be interesting to see the patronage numbers between the two. I'm sure Royal will be watching it closely.

Apologies ahead of time to postal workers everywhere but I wouldn't depend on the PO for any time sensitive payments. We were still getting Christmas cards a month or more after they were mailed.

Pretty sure it is a sanitizing solution. They now have seperate teams for that, but they wete doing it pre covid as well.
Don't feel bad, but I trust what I was told over your musings.
Pre-Covid, first sign of Noro was wet cabin door handles and hall railings.

This is a question, not a statement:
So, I decided to go with individual, cruise specific policies. Is my thinking wrong?
We took that into consideration and having hit the 50 cruises milestone without personal incident or injury we decided if we had to take advantage of that benefit, we would just purchase additional insurance a la carte for the remaining cruises. Short answer, your thinking is not wrong.

We didn't buy it when we were younger but as our parents began to age we started buying it mostly because of them. Over the past 5 years we've had 3 claims for cancelled cruises because they were hospitalized. Now we just buy it for ourselves. In fact we just bought an annual from Allianz because I got a little crazy booking cruises over the next year. The biggest concern for me is not cancellation so much as medical evacuation for an injury or illness.

Should have added that the Reflection does not have full Retreat facilities. In July 2022 there was no Retreat Deck and the Retreat Lounge was the old Michaels Club. They hide that away in the "Retreat Hype ". There is a date for updating I believe , before that don't overpay.
Michaels Club on Reflection is my favorite Retreat lounge to date. Hopefully they only give it a nip and tuck when they update it and not a total makeover.

It should be listed on your invoice if you booked direct.

We always pay off our cruises in full well before final payment date, and have taken advantage of price drops on fully paid off cruises on several occasions - both pre and post shutdown. After final payment date we only do RoyalUP bids, and have scored really good deals on a half dozen bids since the restart. We are on Jewel in ~two weeks and upgraded from a JS to an Owner's Suite for $400/person.
Do they refund to the original credit card or give you OBC?

That's my thoughts. Makes zero sense why overwater are half the price of "waterfront" which my guess is are ones on the shore.
..and having done both, we preferred the OTW over the beach.

True. We live in the northeast so weather, ocean, and suite amenities are our top priorities.
