Last time we cruised into Lanzarote was pre pandemic with RC and Celebrity .In February we go on Azura so will find out about the drop off. In April we stayed in Lanzarote for 2 weeks. We like to explore a bit, but as this will only be a day trip will probably go into town. I don't think we had the need of a shuttle, but will have to see what P&O offer. We have been to 6 of the Canary Islands and enjoyed them all.

As you say, your opinion. Vamps and her family were quite looking forward to visiting Lanzarote. Our opinion is that they are very pleasant places to visit, but each to their own.

We loved the keel & cow, but didn't brave the president burger. Are the children enjoying their cruise?.

TBH, not too bothered about either, but they could pop a couple of chocolates on the pillow.🤣

On our first post lockdown sc holiday we put all the cutlery and crockery in the dish washer as well. OTT, but still a bit wary as it was the first week of freedom. .

First thing we do when entering the cabin for the first time is to sanitise all the surfaces, handles, toilet. We have been going on cruises and hotels for yonks. I have had Noro once and that in a hotel. An unpleasant experience, but take precautions and unlikely. Lots of things in life are more important. Buffet is fine, but care needs to be taken. I eat the bread as well, not even a yeast infection. Coffee and tea are OK

We like to get ashore ASAP, so often the buffet for breakfast. Wash our hands, use tissues, sanitise, don't touch anything, eat, repeat, off the ship, enjoy.

Oh Josy. Tell DH that he shouldn't have both beanz and red wine with his cod. You were right with mushy peaz and white wine.....looks good though.🤣

I would guess the kids don't get to go up a volcano very often and will probably love the Island. When I grow up I may tire of places like that, but I'm only 73.

A few years ago I had a check up at the doctors. He looked over the top of his glasses....I note you get your winter fuel allowance this year, what do you plan spending it on?. Rather than tell him to mind his own flipping business.... lift passes in the alps Doctor.

Iona is Brilliant. We have booked again for next year. Royal caribbean and Celebrity were OK as well.

The Costa coffee onboard is OK. The MDR isn't too bad. Bit The stuff they serve up in the buffet........🤮

I think it's a cruise ship thing. Celebrity and RC is also pretty dire. Not to mention airlines...oops, just did.

We always go for free range sausages. We prefer those that rummage around in the forest and eat acorns. In our local sausage farm you can visit in September and pick out chipolatas for fattening up.

Sorry about your injury and glad you healed. Are you sure it was a turkey and not a bloke in a turkey suit?. That's quite common I understand.🤣

We will wander down to the shops lunchtime. Lunch in Costa then pop into Waitrose to look at the Christmas stuff. After the financial statement on Thursday we may go back down and buy something...........but probably see if they have any preowned turkeys on ebay. Predictive thinks I want a prowled turkey.🤣

Poor little turkeys aren't exactly over the moon either.😉

DW had her annual insurance cancelled by staysure when awaiting a fairly straight forward procedure. We took out a few single trip policies with Insure and Go. Full cover except for cancellation due to that procedure date popping up and conflicting with the holiday dates. No issue with that Now got an annual policy with Allclear.

Well said. Many of the negative comments are heresy, or based on cruises from years ago.
