  1. Hi....i am mobility challanged and in cancer treatment....i would need an umbrella to spend time at the port pool area and so look forward to doing so...anyone who can tell me the process...only ship and docking at noon...carnival breeze...any tips would be appreciated...

  2. They emailed me that they now have a kiosk at the terminal and i could pick my scooter up there for our cruise in dec...will see if it streamlines checkin...im a little concerned about the debark and hope i can follow the wheelchair users off...american changed our flight time so we will have to be part of the rush...

  3. You didnt provide itinerary info but i did a land vacation on st john and took the ferry over to st thomas to the hospital to have mine done....waited a bit and the results were phoned in to my dr...i did make arrangements ahead...we were gone for 3 weeks so it was good to know whether i was in range or not...lucky to have been moved to eliquis since then...easy to fret when you are not stable on a medication..

  4. Ellis is the best tour we have ever taken anywhere....we spent a whole day and evening as he took us to farado for the bio-luminescence tour, waited for us and drove us back to sju to our hotel...he set up a fab hike for my husband who didnt stop smiling all day....we visited friends living a simple life in the jungle...i think he has numerous ideas and puts a distinctive day together for folks...could not recommend him highly enough...this was 3 years ago and his vehicle was a comfy suv holding 4 passengers...be sure to communicare what your preferences are and you'll be lucky to meet such a kind and knowledgeable man...

  5. Try to confirm an hc cabin....while the smallest scooter will fit through the door i could not get mine to swing into the doorway as the hallway was too narrow...i was just visiting this cabin but its a good thing i didnt book it assuming the scooter would actually go in...the hallways with hc cabins are wider...this was the regal princess....loved the ship and the hc balcony cabin was very nice and spacious...i hope your recovery continues well...

  6. Possibly you might get a positive response but if you dont have ins that will cover this you may be out your deposit....im not a frequent carnival cruiser so others can tell you...i just wanted to wish you and your husband a full and speedy recovery....i am receiving treatment into infinity and know how much you desire life to get back to "normal"...

  7. Im following several generations of my tribe to carnival....stt,sju,amber cove and gt...no stairs into the ship pools so i will do those at 2 or 3 of the stops...going to stj on the ferry from stt......only planning to take the scooter off at gt unless they come up with a golf cart or something...i have used a scooter on several cruises but do not like the bumps on the gangway or having to dodge people getting on...easy to feel invisible on a scooter....once my husband was ready to call security as it took me an hr to get back from the muster station...

  8. I went to visit an interior cabin where the hallway was not wide enough to turn into the cabin tho it theoretically should have fit..if you know you can fit the scooter in your cabin and dont need an hc be sure you pick a cabin in the same hallway as an hc so the hallway will be wide enough...

  9. In 1959 my parents cruised to bermuda on a cunard ship...we were able to walk around the ship....see their cabin...get a shirley temple from the steward who was dressed like a bell boy...waved from the nyc harbor while the band played and streamers abounded....it was so awesome for this 10yo farm girl...my mother brought back menus with silk flowers and bows on them....i was enchanted...now im just glad they dont allow tank tops for formal night!😀
