  1. Be careful using the elevators.....on an ncl ship backing out could have taken me down the stairs if i wasnt paying attention....it was not a close call but when you feel you need to get out of the way of a mass group heading your way you may not think of everything in the moment....expect people waiting for the elevators to rush right by you....if i cruised more than every couple of years i would def speak up and demand to not be denied my turn....because i dont i just go with the flow.....some people will be very solicitous....most dont seem to even see you...iyou...i hope you have a wonderful time!

  2. Contact tours with ellis...he is on fb...we had a grand day with him smoothly getting us where we wanted to go and to and from the bio tour...a lovely man with a real love for his adopted home...can't recommend him highly enough...over 20 trips and cruises to the caribbean and that day stands out as one of the best!

  3. Ive been here on and off for over 20 years....some time ago i learned there is an outlet behind the bed on many ships but it is european...a few years ago we looked for it and there it was in all its convenient glory!....we had the right adapter was were able to use it...think it was an ncl ship or rc....wouldn't hurt to check...

  4. I need my scooter on the ship and the no threshold to the bathroom and other safety features incorporated there......there are scooters that just fit through regular cabin doors but not all hallways are wide enough to get the right angle to head straight through the door.....and it is the law that your scooter must stay in your cabin...the days of the kind steward storing it for you out of the way should be technically over....not to say it doesn't happen but the line can face a stiff fine if discovered allowing them in the halls....a scooter provides me with safety and independece....

  5. My only cruise on carnival was to alaska with 19 family members on the spirit....we decided last minute to go and were put on a wait list...svlcored an aft cabin and had no idea how it would enhance the trip...180 degree view....land on both sides...gorgeous glacier water wake... We went in early august and had perfect warm and sunny weather...i would do my best to get an aft...also bigger than the side balconies the rest of the family had...since then most of them only book afts....as do we....have a great trip...

  6. We upgraded at the last minute to an aft suite....huge cabin with the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in...loved having a lounger on the deck....it certainly had everything we needed...also had an obstructed view cabin on the dawn which i think is a sister ship...had a good sized window but with a scooter the cabin was barely big enough....on deck 8...

  7. Bingomamma19.....did your daughter get the passport card without her father?....my daughter had to jump through a lot of hoops to get her ex to coopetate with showing up for her son's renewal..his original was as an infant so it was like starting over....

  8. The swizzle inn will give you a terrific fish sandwich and their delicious Bermuda chowder.....I make the chowder from the gosling rum site....bought the distinctive Bermuda sherry peppers at a hot sauce store in maine as we only do carryon...you can buy them at one of the stores bear the ship...a rum swizzle will make your day!
